Chapter 2
The next nine months in a nutshell.
The past nine months had been like hell for both Buffy and Angel. Angel running out at two in the morning because Buffy wanted Cookie Dough Fudge Mint Chip ice cream, and Buffy constantly having cravings for things she doesn’t even like.
The girls were planning a baby shower for Buffy, and had told Angel so he could get Buffy out of the house so they could decorate. When Angel returned with Buffy, the girls al screamed “SURPRISE”! After talking a little and playing some silly games like “How much does Buffy weight?” it was time for Buffy’s favorite part. Presents. Seeing as Buffy and Angel had decided to be surprised as to what the sex of the baby was, everything was green and white. Buffy and Willow were talking about the names they had picked for the baby. Haley Marie for a girl and Liam James for a boy.
They were getting ready to have cake when Buffy informed everyone that her water just broke. She wasn’t due for another week, but they had already packed their bags for the hospital just incase. Angel ran and got the bags, while Willow helped Buffy into the car. Willow sat in the back with Buffy and Angel drove.
They got to the hospital 5 minutes later, due to Angel’s sheer disregard for the speed limit. Willow got Buffy out of the car and into the hospital while Angel parked the car. By the time Angel found a parking space, Buffy had been taken into a room. Willow was sitting in the waiting broom waiting for Angel and the others, who she had phoned from the car. Willow told Angel which room she was in and told Angel to tell Buffy “good luck.” Angel quickly found Buffy’s room and as he entered the doctor was telling Buffy it shouldn’t be much longer.
He was gunna be a daddy. He thought this day would never come. He and Buffy had dreamed of this day for so long and now it was finally here.
Half an hour later
They had just wheeled Buffy into the delivery room. The doctor had told them in a matter of seconds they would be parents. The doctor told Buffy to push and the next thing they heard was a baby crying. Their baby. It’s a girl the doctor informed them. Then the doctor said something neither of them had been expecting. The nurse would take the baby and clean her up while he delivered the second baby. Both Buffy and Angel replied “what” simultaneously. The doctor said he thought they were aware it was twins.
Buffy was getting tired when the doctor told her one big push and she would be done. A few seconds later the doctor told them it was a boy. They had one of each. A couple minutes later the nurse came back with both babies. When the nurse asked what their names were, Buffy replied Haley Marie and Liam James. After signing their birth certificates Buffy and the babies were wheeled into recovery and the gang was coming in to see them. A couple minutes later, Willow, Oz, Xander, Cordelia, Giles, and Joyce walked in with presents.
After introducing the babies, Angel and Buffy said they had an announcement to make. Buffy and Angel wanted Willow and Xander to be the Haley Marie’s godparents. They were gunna pick Giles, but Giles is more of the babies’ grandfather. They all said they were honored and then Buffy said they wanted Cordelia and Oz to be Liam James’s godparents.
