Part Two

She arrived safely at the park thank goodness. She started to look for Angel or Angelus, whichever it was and was suddenly attacked from behind. She tried to get her stake out but her fingers slipped and it fell to the ground. The vampire growled at her and was just about to bite her when he suddenly turned into dust.
She looked up frightenly waiting for her Death but what she saw next was certainly suprising it was Angel! She just stared at him in shock not wanting to believe that this was Angel and not Angelus. He just looked at her with calm eyes and said:
"Willow"
The name so simple yet so calm that it sent shivers down Willow`s spine. She stared right back and tried to act as boldly as she could. Deep inside she was afraid this was Angelus and he was going to snap her neck like a twig but she mustered all her courage and answered back.
"Angel?" In a voice so full of hope that it hurt.
He just nodded his head and looked at her with those sad and painful eyes. She hated it when he looked at her like that. It was like she could see all his pain through his eyes. No one deserved that kind of pain. Especially not Angel.
"Willow, I-" Suddenly his arms started shaking and she realized that he was weak. She tried to talk to him but he just hushed her and kept talking.
"Can we go somewhere else? I'm still weak at the moment and I need to lie down. We have a lot to discuss Willow. I just got back from Hell and I can tell you that this is not one of my best days.."
He trailed off as a vampire came up from behind him and with its claws attacked him. It left 3 gashes on his back and he screamed in pain. Willow seeing him in pain got angry and took out her holy water. Careful not to throw it at Angel she threw it at the vampire just in time for it to go running away and for Angel to fall unconscious.

Angel woke up with a huge headache and a pained back. He tried to open his eyes but found it to be too hard and tried to welcome unconsciousness once again until he heard a small voice full of concern.
"Angel? Are you all right?" Willow asked worriedly. It had been 2 hours since he fell unconscious and she was starting to get more nervous for her friend? Love? She was not sure anymore but was correct on being worried.
"Ugh... Willow? Is that-" When he tried to get up from her bed he felt a strong pain at his back and realized that Willow bandaged his wounds. He grunted his thanks as she put a cold cloth over his forehead. He looked at her and saw just what he was admiring at for so long these couple of days.
What he saw was a mature woman. Ever since he got back from Hell he could feel that it was Willow that saved him. Somehow he felt a connection between them. He could not explain it but it was like she was the other half of his soul. I was odd in a way. He always though he loved Buffy, but after seeing Willow he started to loose his love for the Slayer.
What was this feeling he was getting? He was overprotective and never let anything harm her. Damn, he even told all the people at Hell that Willow was his and that if any of them even touched Willow they would have to deal with him first. He can`t explain it well yet, but it seems Angelus and Angel were both in love with her. Love.
He saw Angelus thoughts when he was imprisoned. All those thoughts of him, making her a vampire and her living with him for all eternity. Luckily he beat that urge and was able to protect Willow from Angelus. If anyone was going to have Willow it was going to be him. Not as her as a vampire but as the girl he loves. Sweet, loving Willow.
Although he would love her in any way.
He sorted out all these feelings while he was in Hell. He finally realized that there could be nothing between him and the Slayer, so somehow he saw Willow in a different light. The light was always there, shining brightly but he covered the light, afraid that a monster like him would destroy such innocence and beauty. But not anymore.
He was willing to love in a new light with his companion, love, dearest friend and hopefully a future mate.
"Angel? Are you ok?" Willow asked worriedly. It had been a year since she finally restored Angel`s soul. At the time she thought it was for her friend Buffy, but as time passed she realized she was doing it for herself. She had been in love with Angel since the first time she saw him.
It was scary but a nice feeling to care so deeply for someone. She was feeling happy but confused because ever since she did the spell she suddenly felt a connection with Angel. It was odd but she felt happy for once. When she found out about these feelings she tried to ignore them but everyday they got stronger.
There would not came a day that she did not think of him. And she was afraid that she would loose Buffy`s trust by going to Angel. Anyway, why would he want her? When he could have beautiful Buffy, she could not compare to such talent and beauty.
In Angels eyes she was probably just Buffy`s mousy-friend. A computer nerd. How could she compare? She wasn't Buffy or Cordelia. Not pretty or popular. Just plain, old Willow. She sighed in disappointment knowing that soon Angel would go searching for his beloved and leaving her alone. He would never be hers.
"Yeah, I'm ok. Just a little tired I guess. It`s been a long trip you know?" They both laughed a little at his attempt to make things a little easier.
Time passed and Angel finally told Willow everything. She listened and did not interrupt. He felt comfortable with her and told her things he never told anyone. She told him her secrets also, and they spent all night talking a catching up.
Little did they know that this was a beginning ( ? ) of a friendship evolving into something much deeper. They started to see they`re feelings more clearly and were able to see the light that was always there but they prevented. Not any more would they hide they`re feelings. No more.
