Summery; Angelus comes to collect what he wants
Part2
Willow looked in the windows at the hundredth shop she’d past. She couldn’t believe what Buffy had told her, then she realised just how selfish she was being. Here she was running out on her best friend who’d just lost two of the people she loved most in her life. Willow whipped out her phone and rang Buffy.
“Hello” Buffy’s voice said through the other end of the phone
“Hey Buffy, it’s me” Willow replied
“Willow, are you ok? I’ve been so worried.”
“I’m sorry Buffy, it’s just, I couldn’t believe what you had said. But it must be so much harder for you. I’m really sorry.”
“Look Wills, I won’t say it isn’t hard but I will deal with Angelus first then and only then will I mourn. Willow you are always top of my list. I don’t know what I would do without you.” Willow heard Buffy crying down the other end.
“Buffy?”
“Willow, I can’t believe it. Both of them I don’t know how I’m supposed to cope with this. Willow I love them both so much!”
“ I know Buffy, We will give Angel his soul back and then at least you’ve got him back!”
“But have I?” Buffy questioned “I mean I don’t really have him back, he’ll go straight back to LA. And even if he doesn’t me and him can never- you know! Face it Willow it just won’t work. We should stop this once and for all.” Buffy said
“No!” Willow snapped
“What!?”
“I said no! Even if you and him never get together he still should live, Angel has done so much for the powers that be. He’s a champion you shouldn’t just take that from them.”
“I get that Will, but even though he has done that if you compare the things with what he has done as Angel to what he’s done as Angelus, then really he should die!” Buffy countered
“But Buffy, he’s immortal give him time and he will atone for what he has done.”
“How do you know that Wills? If everything keeps going like it is now how do you know that he won’t stay Angelus-“
“But-“
“No Willow, I don’t want to hear any buts the fact s that you don’t know! You’re not the slayer I am and if I have to kill him to stop him from getting you then I will no matter what you say!”
The phonelne suddenly went dead and all Willow could do was stare at it. She knew that Buffy was making a wrong decision she reasoned it down to her being upset and grieving and not thinking rationally. Willow just had to hope against hope that her fried wasn’t making the wrong decision and that in the end she would come to her senses.
That night Willow couldn’t sleep she just kept having dreams of Spike, Angelus and Buffy. Buffy would be upstairs in her house after just getting back from patrol and she would hear a knock at the door. Naturally Buffy would run downstairs to answer it and Willow would just be sitting there on Buffy’s couch wanting to scream out to stop her friend from opening the door but her voice failed her.
Buffy opened the door and Angelus was standing on the other side of the threshold. Buffy being so happy to see her ex-lover jumps out the door and into his waiting arms. Willow would see the look of malice on the vampires face. But Buffy wouldn’t, not in time anyway. She would look up into those golden eyes too late as Angelus bit down on her neck.
Willow would scream then and suddenly Spike would appear trying to beat Angelus off of Buffy, but Angelus was ready and before Willow could warn him Spike had a chunk of wood protruding from his chest. Spikes ashes washed over Buffy now un-moving body. Then Angelus would look up no longer in game face and blow her a kiss whispering so quietly Willow wondered how she heard
“Till then”
Then he was gone and Willow woke up screaming.
