Xander stared at Willow, his expression lacking the smarts he wanted it to have. "What are we gonna do, Will?"

"I have no clue. Spike, you're older than us, what are we supposed to know?" Willow looked clueless, which was a very rare event and Xander always got a little afraid when people started to Spike like he was of some importance.

"Oh, just because I'm a hundred and twenty six, you wanna go askin' me about the sodding Middle Ages?" Spike looked insulted, but no one really cared.

"Yes, percisely."

"How the bleeding hell am I supposed to know? I have better things to do then go to Renaissance Faires and spend my time cozied with a book about the Middle Ages! I mean, it can't be all that fun for a vampire!" Spike started looking around in his more plain, flabbier, less gothic clothes for his cigarettes, but it appears that they didn't come along for the ride. Neither did Xander's neck wound and his bandage or Spike's rib pains, not that would have been a bad thing.

"Are you even a vampire anymore?" Willow asked him. Spike shrugged and Xander smiled.

"Only one way to find out," he said. He grabbed Spike roughly off the ground before he even had a chance to protest and through him out in the blinding sunlight of the porch. Spike yell and swear a little until he realized the sun's rays weren't hurting him. He tried to go vampire, but his face stayed exactly the same. "Nope, it seems our little Spikey isn't a vampire in this reality."

"But I'm still as bad as an ass can go!" Spike countered when he came back in, his lips seeming to be engraved in a permanent frown.

"Right, punch me, I bet you still have the chip!" Xander tested him.

"Oh, I bet I don't!" Spike ran up to him and planted his fist roght against Xander's nose, expecting no pain. Xander went spralling and Spike was fine. "Ha!" He pounched on Xander, punching him continuely until Buffy threw him off Xander. Xander got up, a wimpy look in his eyes and he sat back down on the floor next to Willow. Spike sat down on the other side of her. Buffy took charge.

"There will be no fighting, *Spike*, and there will be no pissing people off, *Xander*. We have to get along no matter how much we may *detest* a person in the ranks. Now, Will, we need to talk to someone, and fast. We need to know what's going on, we need to know who we are, so we better go outside. Now, Will, since you are our knowledge expert, you are in charge of all things renaissancy, Xander, you're the knight, you better keep us safe, I'll act normal, be our abassador, and Spike, you hang tight until we find out what you are." Buffy was good at being a leader when no one else would. Spike was the only one who didn't seem happy with the arrangement.

"*He* can't be a knight, *I'm* the knight, he landed in the wrong room..."

"Shut *up*, Spike! No one cares! We're tired of your lip, alright?"

"Oh, I bet you want some of it, Slayer..."

"*Shut up*!"

Buffy stormed out and expected the others to follow. Xander and Willow got up quickly, calling her name. Spike slowly got up, taking his time, as usual. Xander caught up first and stopped Buffy from going any farther.

"Buffy, you know the creep is just messing with your mind, right?" He was terribly concerned, something was twisting in Buffy's mind and it was Xander's job to stop its spread of twisting.

"Yeah, I know. I'm just tired of it, that's all." Xander wasn't entirely sure that was the truth, but he was willing to change subject.

"Do you have any idea where we're going?"

"No, but we have to go somewhere, right? Let's wait for Will and Spike." Willow was there in a few seconds and Spike was there after a few whole minutes.

"Thanks for holding us up!"

Everyone looked so different in there clothes and hairstyles. Xander hadn't seen himself, but he was sure he had the same old style long hair ponytail thing Spike had going on. And Spike... He looked almost right in these old clothes, but frightening different. He still had his bad ass attitude, but it was ovious there was nothing to back it up, but his raw anger and minimal human power. Xander also found that he knew a little bit more about fighting and weaponary than he had back home and that was weird. And what was Spike? If he wasn't a knight, then what?

Willow looked great in her dark blue, loose fitting gown. Her was a dark red and reached all the way to her thighs. A leather belt was tied around her middle and puches of herbs and potions hung from it. She was Willow, obviously, but a different Willow.

Buffy looked like a whore. She had a nice body and this dress definatly displayed that she did. Her dress was a redish, marron and was so tight to her body, you could see her breasts heave up and down when she took and a breath. Her dress had no belt and was more of a bell shape at the end than Willow's, who had a dress that was more like a regular dress back at home. Xander noticed Spike checking Buffy out, but he couldn't blame the guy. When all her stuff was out and exposed, it was hard not to notice... And Spike being Spike...

Xander shook his head. He looked to Willow who seemed to be trying to figure out at least close to where they might be. She looked deep in thought and her mouth was moving. She was talking to hersself and Spike was listening. He seemed to want to know where they were, too.

"I see a building!" Buffy called from up ahead. She stopped abruptly and Xander, not paying attention, ran right into her.

"Oops."

Xander now saw the building. It was tall, like a tower tall, and it was all made out of stone. The stones were as big as Xander's head.

"This is a fourteenth century Watchtower. There must be a big city near-by," Willow imformed them.

"Right, and there will be people there who will tell us who we are," Buffy said. The foursome pushed on. A few more yards away, there was a huge road with a few horses trotting slowly across. People walked alongside the road, chatting and shopping and pick-pocketing.

When Buffy entered the road, a man stopped. "Me lady Buffy. What brings you here to Whitecharcol?" he asked.

"My frineds and I.." The man interupted.

"These are your frineds? The Witch, and the bar tender?"

Spike noticed he was talking about him. "Bartender? I'm a bartender?"

"Ah, see me lady, he's drunk again and can't remember who he is. He calls himself *Spike* all the time, but I believe his name is William..."

"Yes, they both are my frineds, and Spike is jsut a nickname. We are a little confused. Now, can you answer us a few questions?"

"Aye, me lady, I'd bve glad to."

"Alright, what year is it?"

"1460, me lady."

"And who is he?" She gestured to Xander.

"Is he not your husband, me lady?"

"My *what*?"

"Husband, me lady. The noble knight Alexander. The King's First Man, your husband."

"Oh my God."

Xander was lost for words. *He* was Buffy's *husband*? That was uncalled for and unwanted, but he guessed he was gonna have to go along with it, well, until they got out of this place.

"OK, so Buffy, we're married, but none of that married stuff will we do, will we?"

"NO!" Buffy shrieked.

"OK, I didn't think so."

"Let's go. Spike we better get you back to your bar..." Buffy laughed.

"Hey, that's *not* funny!"

"Yes, it is, Xander."

"No, it isn't. Bar tending is a noble profession."

"Oh, sorry, I forgot, but I mean, come on, Spike, bad ass vamp, a bartender, funny stuff."

"Well, I guess this is our first test

And the four friends dissolved into the large crowd of people passing by.
