Buffy walked upstairs and into her room. She crawled into bed and fell asleep.
Again started to dream.
Buffy’s walking. Now she’s running down a dark alley. Someone’s following her. She jumps up to a bar and she stands upside down on a bar until her follower came. He looks around he thinks he lost her. But a moment later Buffy swings down and hits him hard in the back. She hurried and made sure he stayed down when he tried to get up.
“Uh, is there a problem ma’am?” The young man asked.
“Yeah there’s a problem. Why are you following me?” Buffy asked.
“I know what you’re thinking, don’t worry I don’t bite.” he grinned.
Buffy let him up, but she held her ground.
“Truth is I thought you'd be taller or bigger muscles and all that.” the man rubbed his neck, “You're pretty spry, though.”
“What do you want?” Buffy asked.
His reply was simple, direct. “The same thing you do.”
Buffy through up her arms, “Okay. What do I want?” she asked.
The man leaned in, smiling. “To kill them. To kill them all.”
“Sorry, that's incorrect. But you do get this lovely watch and a year's supply of Turtle Wax. What I want is to be left alone!” Buffy yelled as she started to walk away.
Not wanting her to go, he quickly added, “Do you think that’s an option anymore? You’re standing at the mouth of hell, and it’s about to open. You can’t turn your back on this. You have to be ready.” He tossed her a box that he had just taken from his shirt pocket.
“What for?” Buffy asked.
He answered, “For the harvest.”
“Who are you?”
“Let's just say...I'm a friend.” He answered questionably.
“Yeah, well, maybe I don't want a friend.” Buffy shot at him.
“I didn't say I was yours.” He smiled
Giles and Wesley had up all night. They were trying to figure out if The First was dead. Instead, they found a prophecy. One they wish they hadn’t found. One that binds two souls together.
“What are we going to do?’ Wesley asked Giles.
“I don’t know. “ Giles replied. “I imagine that we don’t tell them.”
“Do you think it’s actually them though?” Wesley asked.
“Honestly? I don’t know.”
“It could be anyone, but, knowing our luck it’s probably them…” Wesley sighed
“‘One born of light, but touched by darkness… One born of darkness, but touched by light… Two ancient lovers destined to be together since time began…’ We know that they loved each other through everything that she’s the one born of light, and he is defiantly born from darkness. So I don’t really know. It could involve Spike… As much as I hate the idea, I would much rather see her with Angel.” Giles stated.
“Well, I think I pretty much assume you don’t like Spike all that much.”
“Not one bit.” Giles said. “I can live without encountering that thing.”
“Guess that pretty much sums everything up on that subject.” Wesley said.
“Now back to business. What are we going to do about the prophecy?” Giles asked.
“I don’t know.” Wesley replied.
‘Buffy’s dream flashed to a few days late:
Buffy is in a crypt trying everything she can think of to open a chained gate. But was having no luck, then she sensed someone behind her.
“I don’t suppose you have a key on you?”
“They really don't like me dropping in.”
“Why not?” Buffy asked.
“They really don't like me.”
“How could that possibly be?” Buffy asked as she turned around to look at the same young man she had encountered earlier.
“I knew you'd figure out this entryway sooner or later. Actually, I thought it was gonna be a little sooner.” The man smiled.
“Sorry you had to wait. Okay. Look, if you're gonna be popping up with this cryptic wise man act on a regular basis can you at least tell me your name?”
“Angel.”
“Angel. It's a pretty name.” Buffy turned and faced the door again.
“Don't... go down there.” Angel took a step towards her.
“Deal with my going.” Buffy faced Angel again.
“You shouldn't be putting yourself at risk. Tonight is the Harvest. Unless you can prevent it, the Master walks.”
“Well, if this Harvest thing is such a suckfest why don't you stop it?”
‘'Cause I'm afraid.” Angel looked down, ashamed.
Buffy turned and kicked the door open.
“They'll be expecting you.” Angel said.
“I've got a friend down there. Or at least a potential friend. Do you know what it's like to have a friend?” When Angel looked down, Buffy replied, “That wasn't supposed to be a stumper.”
“Head east once you hit the tunnels. You should find them there.”
“You gonna wish me luck.” Buffy asked, when he didn’t answer, she left and headed down the tunnel.
When Buffy left, Angel said, “Good Luck.”’
Buffy woke-up with Angel’s ‘Good Luck’ in her head. She looked around and realized that she was still in L.A. and in the hotel owed by no other then Angel.
