Buffy and Angel had been married for about two months, since right after Angel had stopped the impending apocalypse and he received his Shanshu.
They had performed the ceremony under the moonlight, even though Angel was human now. The ceremony was beautiful, with the light from the moon and the roses everywhere, the scene instilled peace and love in everyone’s hearts.
Now, two months later, Buffy had some news for Angel. She was pregnant. He would be so happy, probably happier than Buffy felt because this was what they had always dreamed of. A baby. She couldn’t wait till he got home so she could tell him.
When Angel finally got home, Buffy could barely get the words out. Angel must have thought she was spazzing out. She finally controlled herself long enough to form the words. She told Angel he should probably sit down, but he decided he would rather stand to hear the news. “I’m pregnant.”
As the words came out of her mouth, she saw such a happy expression of Angel’s face that she started to get tears in her eyes. He stood up and hugged Buffy, being gentle so he wouldn’t hurt the baby. The two of them sat down on the couch and Angel put his hand on Buffy’s stomach. He was so happy. They had dreamed of this for so long and now it was finally happening. They had a family in the works. They immediately called everyone over to the house to tell them the news. They were almost as ecstatic as Buffy and Angel were. The next nine months were going to be a journey, but they would get through it because they had each other to keep them sane.
