Like he thought, all the slayerettes were at the Bronze, there was nothing strange in that. What was weird was that they seemed like they were kind of avoiding each other, exept Buffy, who was talking to everyone. Oz was playing with his band, trying to avoid Willow's eyes. She was felling guilty, it was written all over her face. Xander was talking (well he was only making a few noises to answer her), his attention was on Cordelia, who was sitting all alone at a table. Angel could tell she had been crying, even if she had tried to hide it by putting make up.
Angel asked himself. a little voice answered in his head. The next thing he knew, he was pleasing her to dance with him. She hesitated, but she couldn't resist when he made a smile, saying that it would be good for them to forget everything. Cordelia accepted, she really needed to have fun, and dancing was bringing her some sort of conforting magic, where she lost every touch with reality.
Just when they reached the dance fllor, a slow song began. They looked like they didn't know what to do they both though before they got closer. They were so lost in the music that they didn't notice Xander's and Buffy's jealous looks. The song was really expressing how they felt, it was only normal, Oz had wrote that song after he saw Willow kissing Xander.

Angel held Cordelia closer when he saw her broke in tears. He saw Buffy and Willow crying, Xander was leaving and Oz was trying to hide his feelings. angel wondered.
Without you, my life is not worth it
Where did I go wrong?
What did I do wrong?

I need you, even if it kills me to admit it

As the song ended, Angel was about to release Cordelia when she looked at him with puppy eyes, begging him to not leave her alone. that's when Buffy came close to them, pushing Cordy out of Angel's arms. She suddenly slapped Angel in the face and began to yell at him « What is it Angel??? You're trying to make me jealous by dancing with her? Well, congratulations, its working!» With that, she ran away from him.
Cordelia was still recovering from Buffy's attack when she heard Xander saying «Well, well, if it isn't the pathetic little cheerleader! Couldn't get any living guy, nobody wants her anymore, so her only hope is the undead.» She couldn't stand it, why was he so mean? She didn't do anything to hurt him. she thought. As tears came in her eyes, she ran to the exit. She didn't want him to see her cry.
meanwhile, Oz and Willow were having a way more civilized conversation than their friends. «look Willow, I trusted you with all my heart and you betrayed me, as much as I want to, I can't forgive you. It's over, I hope you understand why I'm doing this» Oz was suprised by how he had been able to tell her that without starting to cry. « I understand, but I want you to know that if you ever change your mind, I'll always be there.» she was crying. A part of him wanted to tell her that he changed his mind, that he loved her more than everything, but another part of him wanted to run away from her, from all the pain that she had caused him. that last part won, oz started to walk away without even saying goodbye.
