[Buffy's House]
"Okay, is it just me, or is anyone else mildly freaked-out?" Xander asked. Buffy exhaled and pivoted on her foot and walked into the kitchen. She picked up the phone and began dialing.
"Hello, Giles? Yeah, it's Buffy. Um, how much do you know about talking clouds?"
[Magic Box]
"Hello? Customer! Yes, I'm speaking to you! Do you need help? H-hey! Don't walk away from me!" Anya bellowed at the now-leaving customer.
As the customer left, Buffy and the rest of the gang walked into the store. "Scare another one away huh, Anya?" Buffy asked. Anya straightened herself and replied,"No, it's just ignorance. They're ignorant to my wanting to help them. I merely asked if they needed help and they give me a look like I'm some kind of demon." The gang just looked at each other and then back at Anya. Anya sighed and just held up her hand to keep them from commenting.
"Anya, do you know anything about talking clouds? Talking clouds that hang out with elves, faeries, and mermaids?" Buffy asked. Anya cocked an eyebrow and asked,"Maaaybe. Why? Did they visit you during a sudden earthquake at your house or something?" The gang looked at each other and Willow said,"Um, how did you know?"
Anya looked from side-to-side and walked behind the counter. "It's an ex-demon thing. These creatures that came and visited you are know as the Five Points. They come when a slayer needs to be tested in her skills which include: emotions, fighting, and communication," Anya informed. Buffy frowned and asked sarcastically,"Oh, you mean communication as in my stake communicating with a vampire's heart?"
Anya sighed and said,"No. Communication as in communicating with your surroundings, such as your friends and the environment, while fighting. It's too complicated. Did they ask you to do something? A quest of some sort?"
Willow suddenly piped,"I find it kind of odd that Anya knows so much about these Five Point creatures." Anya shook her head and said,"If you had been a demon for as long as I have, then you would pick up quite a few interesting facts as well. Look, Buffy, if they asked you to do a quest, go ahead and do it."
Xander added,"The only thing is: they said they would grant Buffy a request, but the only request they will grant is to allow us to accompany her on her quest. Thing. You know what, Buff? I'll go." Willow nodded and replied,"Me too. I mean, if it's going to be beneficial, I'll help."
Buffy said,"Alright, so it's me, Xander, and Willow. I'll go and ask Giles to join us as well. That only makes four and I need one more. I'll go and ask Spike." Dawn immediately straightened and said,"What about me, Buffy? I'd like to help and I'm sure I could do it." Buffy shook her head and said,"I don't want you getting hurt. A-and you're too young. Stay here with Anya."
Dawn sighed and replied,"You never let me do anything. I don't understand why you can't trust me!" She walked into the back room and slammed the door. Buffy shook her head and said,"Come on guys, let's go get Spike."
[Later that night in the cemetary...Buffy and Xander find Spike...]
"Um, no, love. I'm not going on this crazy quest of yours. Why don't you let the niblet go? After all, she seems so keen on helpin' you and all," Spike said as he lit up a cigarette. Buffy rolled her eyes and said,"You know why she isn't coming. She's too young and too careless. Spike, please. You're the fifth person that I need. I've already phoned Giles and he's coming along. I would ask Anya, but I don't think she considers me enough of a friend to come with us."
Spike took another drag on his cigarette and threw it onto the ground; crushing it with his heel. "Fine, but it's only because you don't want Bite-size to go. When do we go?" Buffy exhaled and said,"Tomorrow. Sometime."
Suddenly, another earthquake began and a glowing light appeared once more. The cloud reappeared and said,"Good. We'll see you bright and early. Be prepared, young slayer. Bring your weapons and your mind." With that, the cloud poofed and all was silent.
"I wish it would stop doing that!" Xander shouted.
