Buffy walked down the Sunnydale street lined with shops a cafes, the sun was high in the sky and beating down making everything making it become boiling hot. Buffy could see that the earthquakes had caused many of the shops to close down and only now were they beginning to role up their metal blinds, people too had began to appear around the street.
Buffy spotted Willow coming out of the Magic Box, one of the few shops that had stayed open through the earthquake, she walked over to her. Willow turned and saw Buffy coming towards her, Willow smiled before she got a better look at her friend.
“Oh my gosh,” Willow said as Buffy came up to her, “What happened?” Buffy could see why Willow would be shocked to see her but honestly didn’t really care.
The Slayer tried to smile at her friend trying to comfort her, “It’s a really long story, I’m on my way to U.c Sunnydale. Riley’s missing and I figured that maybe Professor Walsh and the Initiative might have some way of taking him down.”
Willow nodded and smiled back, “Yeah that sounds like a good idea. I’ve just bought some ingredients for a truth spell, I thought me might be able to find out more about that Prophecy from Spike. See what he’s not telling us.” Willow’s face became serious, “We will get through this. Do you want me to come with you to find Walsh?”
“Sure. I can fill you in on what happened on the way.”
Spike sat in Willie’s Place stinking of alcohol, this is the place where he had heard the Prophecy of the Slayer’s death from five scaly green demons. They were talking a strange clucking language that Spike happened to speak, the demon’s hadn’t counted on that.
“Hey Willie!” Spike said as he lifted his class up, he had been drinking in this hole ever since the stupid solder boys had stuck a chip in his brain.
Willie walked to Spike with a bottle of alcohol, he filled Spike’s glass and then said, “You don’t look to good, are you sure you can handle some more?” Spike looked up at Willie and his face morphed into it’s true demon completion, Willie put his hands up in apology and walked away quickly.
Suddenly the door of Willie’s Place was pulled open and the five demon’s that Spike had heard the prophecy from walked into the bar, Willie nodded at the demon’s and said, “Welcome back, I knew you couldn’t get enough of my top quality pig blood. Take a seat.”
The demon’s communicated to each other in their language until one of them said, “Thanks” to Willie and they took their seats at the back of the bar away from everyone. Spike could hear them talking to each other in their clucking language, the five were talking pretty quietly but the Vampire heard most of what they were saying.
“ The Slayer knows of the Prophecy, we have taken her lover and she will never see him again. This is to distract her from her mission. We can use the spell soon and then we won’t have to worry about her at all, the destruction of earth is what our leading wants and our leader will get it. I’ll die before I see a mere Vampire Slayer ruin our plan.”
Spike laughed at the demon’s thinking that they could even scratch Buffy, she was incredibly hard to kill as The Master, Judge, Dru, Angel and even Spike himself had found.
“But how will we get close enough to perform the spell on Buffy?” Another of the demons said in his language.
“Oh that won’t be an issue. He’s going to help us.” Spike turned and saw the leader of the five demon’s pointing at him and laughing
