Giles was awoken by the rumblings of a Southern Californian earthquake, his lamp fell off his bedside table a smashed into pieces. Giles grumbled at the noise and sat up rubbing his eyes, the man reached for his glasses that were sitting in their case.
“What the?” Giles asked as another earthquake knocked down something large downstairs, he stepped out of bed quickly avoiding the broken lamp. The man grabbed his dressing gown and headed downstairs to see the damage.
As Giles reached the ground floor another earthquake almost knocked him over, he steadied himself before continuing into his living room. Giles’s T.V lay on the floor with the screen shattered, his table had knocked over as had many things in the Kitchen.
Somebody started to thump on Giles’s door waiting for him to open it, Giles made his way over to it and swung it open quickly. Buffy rushed inside out of the danger, the man saw fallen trees and smashed flower pots outside before slamming the door shut.
“Thank god your up,” Buffy said as she turned around revealing her cuts and bruises to Giles, “Riley’s missing, a group of invincible demons want me dead and I need a shower!”
Giles looked Buffy up and down, she looked a mess. The Slayer had two black eyes, cuts all down a face and a broken hand. Her clothes were stained with her own blood.
“Buffy…what happened?” Giles finished his question just as another earthquake shot one of his lights straight down onto the floor, “I think we’d better go upstairs. There’s less stuff up there.”
Giles and Buffy ran upstairs and back into Giles’s bedroom almost falling over twice from two incredibly close earthquakes. When Buffy and Giles had safely reached the bedroom the Slayer sat down and told Giles’s everything, everything about Riley and everything she could remember about the demon’s.
After Buffy had finished telling her story Giles’s spoke slowly and calmly, “Maybe you should go to the Initiative,” Giles suggested, “They must have some ways of tracking down their agents. You could get one of Riley’s friends to take you in or talk to Professor Walsh.”
Buffy nodded and began to cry silently, she really did hurt inside and outside. But it wasn’t over, Buffy would find Riley. She couldn’t do it without him.
Raina, Buffy and Sasha talked for hours, talking about the demon’s they had slain and decapitation techniques. Girl’s stuff. Soon though, the fun time was over.
Guards sprinted up the tower making loud noises with their armour, “Oh crap!,” Buffy stood up from her chair, “They’re coming for me! Where can I hide?”
Raina quickly rushed Buffy into a cupboard, the Slayer stood and waited without even breathing. The cupboard contained a few dresses and some boxes, it was a little cramped but Buffy had been in much much worse situations.
The guards rushed into the room and quickly shot their heads around, “Where is she?” One of the demon’s growled. Raina and Sasha shrugged without saying saying anything.
“Who?” Raina asked as pretended she didn’t no anything.
The demon’s growled and began to search the room, knocking over tables and chairs. One of the demon’s made their way to the cupboard and stuck it’s hand into it pulling out Buffy violently.
“There you are,” The demon smiled.
