[Buffy's house]

Buffy Summers had just finished eating her dinner when one of her best friends, Alexander (Xander for short) Harris burst into her door. He slammed the door behind him and breathed heavily,"We've got company, Buffy!"
Buffy jumped up out of her chair, grabbed her Bag O' Weapons and stood infront of Xander---waiting for him to allow her to open the door.
"No vamps this time. Just Spike," Xander said. Buffy frowned, slowly put down her Bag O' Weapons, and gently pushed Xander aside from the door. When she opened the door, there stood Spike holding flowers. "And you're here because of why now," asked Buffy in a sarcastic tone.
Spike smiled and said,"I just wanted to wish you a good night. Can't a friend say good night to another friend?" Buffy grimaced and replied,"Ew. And once again, ew. Please, Spike, go home." Spike frowned and said,"Women."
Buffy closed the door in his face and said,"Xander, where's Willow and Dawn? Did they finish their little study thing?" Xander scratched behind his ear and said,"I think so. They should be heading over here in just a few minutes. While on my way over here, Spike came up and starting ranting about you and some flowers---he was as annoying as a girl scout. Buff, why don't you just kill the guy? He's so annoying!"
Buffy sighed and replied,"It's not that easy, Xand. We need him on our side because the need for fighters against vampires and demons. He has helped a lot in the past, and you know it. I don't like him either, but I'm learning to deal with his...obsession with me and annoyance. Oh, look, there's Willow and Dawn now." She continued staring out of the window as Willow and Dawn walked up the sidewalk and turned into the Summers' driveway.

"So, Willow, can I learn some spells next week? Herbs and 'special stones' are getting so boring. I'm sure Buffy won't mind," Dawn pleaded. Willow stopped and answered,"Yeah, I bet she wouldn't mind; considering she doesn't even know I'm teaching you anything on the lines of witchcraft! Anyways, what did we practice on our way here? We were studying what now?" Dawn sighed and replied,"Geometry. Specifically? Circles. Good enough?" Willow smiled and nodded and continued toward the Summers' front door.
She opened the door and Xander and Buffy stood, staring at them.
"Hey guys. Dawn and I got a little caught up in studying. Circles, pssh. So, what did I miss? You guys look as though you were discussing something so very important," Willow said.
Buffy blinked and licked her lips. "Nothing really. Just Spike again---trying to 'court' me. His attempts are starting to get really pitiful. At first, I was unimaginably disgusted, but now I'm unimaginably disgusted and amused," Buffy replied.
Suddenly, the pictures on the wall started to shake and the lights began to flicker. Buffy shouted,"Get on the ground!" Everyone crouched down and put their hands over their heads as the house continued to shake. The front door burst open to reveal five figures---an elf, two faeries, a mermaid, and a white cloud that hovered over the mythological creatures. The house ceased the earthquake-like experience and the creatures stepped into the house.
Buffy stood up, as did the others, and said,"Hi?"
The creatures looked at each other and then back at Buffy. The white cloud hovered infront of the creatures and a voice echoed from it saying,"We're here to test you, Slayer. We are the Representatives of the Five Points: Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Spirit. I am Spirit---made up of all the Points and their correspondences. The elf is Earth, the gold faerie is Air, the red faerie is Fire, and the mermaid is Water. We will be instructing you through our realms to test your strength, courage, and endurance. We will, however, grant you one request. The only request we may grant is that of your companions---if they wish to accompany you on your quest. If that may be, then they will take their places among different realms faced with those specific challenges. One friend per realm. Whether or not your companions choose to come is up to them and you, but there are no other exceptions for requests. We will give you one day to make your decision. Brightest blessings to all." The creatures disappeared and left a very shocked Scoobie Gang.
