'Not bad.' Willow thought to herself as she tried on the dress she bought that afternoon. 'The hem's a little too short but it's worth it.'

She took another look at herself in the mirror. The burgundy dress with spaghetti straps had cost her half of her babysitting money but it didn't matter. "I hope Xander likes it," she muttered to herself.

Looking out the window, the hacker saw that her date was a few feet away from the door. 'Date. I can't believe I'm going on a date with Xander.' She grabbed her jacket and ran downstairs.

Willow opened the door just as Xander was about to ring the doorbell. 'This dress was _definitely_ worth it!' The boy's mouth had dropped as soon as he saw Willow. "Hi, Xander."

It took him a few minutes before he could recover his senses. "You... you look beautiful." He then remembered the roses he was holding. "Here. These are for you."

"Thank you. Let me put these in water and then we can go." She turned around and headed to the kitchen.

Xander just stood in the doorway, unable to move. Stunned would have been an understatement to describe how he was feeling. "I can't believe that's Willow!" he said under his breath. "She's, she's gorgeous!"

Willow returned. She put her jacket on and closed the door behind her. "Ready?"

"Uh, yeah. Let's go."

Buffy arrived at the Bronze somewhat tired and out of breath. She ran all the way from Willow's house, looking behind her every few minutes making sure that her friend didn't see her.

The Slayer spent the entire afternoon following her friends. Unfortunately, Xander and Willow split up after school and she could only tail one of them. "I should have tailed Xander instead," she thought aloud to herself as she sat down at an empty table. There was nothing out of the ordinary with Willow. The blonde girl followed her friend all the way home without incident. As soon as the hacker was safely inside her house, Buffy went home, feeling somewhat disappointed.

With nothing to do but wait for them, Buffy automatically began to scan the club for a certain vampire. Not seeing him, she turned her attention back to entrance and gasped. Her best friends just showed up and Willow was dressed in a fashion very similar to the Slayer.

"Omigod! Is that you, Willow?" Buffy barely got the words out. She couldn't believe what she was seeing.

"What? Is something wrong?" The hacker looked down at her dress, checking to see if there was a rip or a hole in it.

"No, nothing's wrong. It's just that... you look different. In a nice sort of way." The words came out in a rush.

"Thanks." The usually shy girl turned to her date. "Xander, can you get me a soda?"

"Sure. Buffy, you want one?"

"Uh, no thanks."

Xander walked over to the bar while Willow sat down next to Buffy. The blonde girl looked over her friend from head to toe. "Where did you get that dress? I thought you hated these type of outfits."

"Oh, I went to the mall after I got home and just bought this on an impulse. Do you like it?"

"Yeah! It looks great on you." Buffy couldn't think of anything else to say. Luckily, Xander had returned with 2 drinks in his hand.

"Here, Willow." The boy handed the hacker a plastic cup and sat down.

The Slayer noticed that her friends were just staring at each other with lovesick expressions on their faces. Feeling out of place, she began to scan the club once more. This time, she spotted her favorite dance partner entering the Bronze.

"'Scuse me, guys," she told her friends and got up from her chair. Buffy didn't even think they heard her. She walked over to where the cursed vampire was waiting for her. "Hey."

"Hey yourself." Angel smiled at her and Buffy felt as if she was on top of the world. "I noticed that your friends are preoccupied with each other."

"That obvious, huh? Something's going on with them but I can't figure it out. One minute, Willow's just a friend to Xander, the next, she's his girlfriend."

"Why don't we just leave them alone and focus on _us_ for now?" He led her to the dance floor. Soon, the Slayer forgot all her worries and just concentrated on the man she was dancing with.

Back at the table, Xander and Willow continued to lock eyes. Wishing for a little more action, the boy leaned over slightly and locked lips with the girl sitting in next to him.

Willow sat there as if in a dream. 'Wow, so this is how it feels to be in love. Now I know how Buffy feels... Buffy!' The auburn haired girl opened her eyes and pulled away from Xander. "Where's Buffy?"

"What?" It took Xander a minute to recover from the kiss. "Wasn't she just sitting here?"

The two teens searched the club with their eyes. Xander spotted her first. "There she is," he pointed with his finger.

Willow followed his finger and relief washed over her when she saw the Slayer and who she was dancing with. "I guess we weren't very good company just now," she said sheepishly.

"Guess not. Hey, why don't we go somewhere a little more quieter?" He turned to his date and waited for an answer.

"What about Buffy?" Willow didn't want her friend to get worried if they left suddenly.

"We could leave her a note--" Xander saw the expression on her face. "Or we could go up there and tell her."

"I'll go." The hacker got up and walked over to where the couple was dancing. She tapped Buffy's shoulder. "Sorry to interrupt you two. Buffy, Xander and I will be leaving, if you don't mind." She exchanged a knowing look with Buffy.

The Slayer understood that they wanted some time alone. "Uh, sure. Just promise me you'll be careful."

"Don't worry about us," Willow assured her friend. "Have fun." She turned and headed for the door where Xander waited with her jacket.

Ten minutes later, the Slayerettes stood on the steps to Xander's house. He opened the door and poked his head in.

"Anyone home?" he called out. Only silence greeted him. "Okay, coast's clear." The tall teen opened the door wider and stood aside to let his date in. "Ladies first."

Willow gave him a smile as she walked inside. She took her jacket off and placed it on an armchair in the living room. "Okay, now what do we do?"

Xander motioned to the sofa and the hacker sat down. He turned around and headed to the kitchen. A minute later, he returned, a bottle of Champagne and two wine glasses in his hands. The boy sat down and poured the Champagne into the glasses. He handed one to Willow.

The hacker hesitated. 'Go on, Willow. One drink won't hurt. Besides, you don't want to ruin the night by refusing.' She slowly reached out for the glass.

Xander gave her a smile and made a toast. "To Willow, the only girl I have ever truly loved and always will love." The glasses made a little "ting" as they hit each other. The two teens raised the Champagne to their lips and took a sip.

"Mmm." Willow started to relax a little. 'That wasn't so bad, after all.' She began to raise the glass to her lips again but a hand stopped her. Instead of tasting the fizzle of Champagne, Willow felt Xander's lips brush hers. The auburn-tressed girl put the wine glass back on the table without looking.

Her eyes were closed as she enjoyed the kiss. 'God, please don't let this moment end.' A few minutes later, Willow felt Xander's hand caressing her thigh. A small shiver went down her spine. She could tell that Xander felt the slight shiver but he ignored it and kissed her even more passionately.

Willow found herself lying on the sofa. Xander was above her, his body parallel to hers. He raised his head for a moment and looked at her.

Feeling slightly alarmed, Willow asked, "What's wrong? Why did you stop?"

Xander looked straight into her eyes. "Are you sure you want to go on? I mean, if you want me to stop..."

Relieved, the hacker replied, "Xander, I don't mind all this kissing. Really, I don't. It's just--" She never got to finish her sentence as her date once again locked his lips with hers.

Willow, savoring all of this, didn't notice that Xander's hand had moved underneath her body. 'Wow. This has to be what heaven is like.' She continued to exchange kisses with Xander for another five minutes and then she felt _It_.

Her eyes flew open as she realized that Xander's hand was on her shoulder. His fingers started to slide the burgundy strap down her arm. Alarm bells went off in her head. "Uh, Xander, what are you doing?"

"Just relax. I'm not going to hurt you." His voice had a darker undertone to it than before.

Willow pushed Xander away and saw that her friend already removed his shirt. 'When did he do that?' The thought quickly flew out of her mind as she felt a slight chill down her back. The hacker reached back and felt her skin. 'He unzipped my dress,' she realized.

"Xander, let's stop. I... I don't want to do this anymore." She fumbled for the zipper and zipped her dress back up.

"Why do you want to stop? Isn't this what we want to do, what _you_ want to do?" Xander pleaded.

"No, this is _not_ what I want."

"But Willow, I thought you love me. I love _you_."

The other teen hesitated a minute. "I do love you. But... "

By this time, Xander was standing in front of her. He reached out and grabbed her wrists, pinning Willow against the wall. "No 'buts' about it. You love me and I love you. I'll prove it." He leaned down and tried to kiss her.

"NO!!!!" she screamed as she raised her knee up and kicked him in the groin. Xander yelped in pain and released his grip on her. Willow quickly ran across the room and picked up her jacket. She turned around and saw her friend kneeling on the ground, pain written across his face. He looked up at her.

To her horror, his eyes had the same look as when he was possessed by the hyena. It was a look of fury and madness. A second later, the look was gone. "Willow, help me." He tried to get up but was unable to. Slowly, he began to crawl towards her.

The hacker didn't know what to do. Her mind was telling her to leave but her heart told her to help him. Willow made a decision. She walked over to Xander and held out her arm.

Xander gratefully accepted it. He started to slowly rise but a minute later, he pulled her down and grabbed her wrists once more. "See my love, I knew you would help me. That's why I love you so much." The crazed look was back in his eyes.

"Let go of me!" She tried to move but his hands wouldn't budge.

"No. I love you and I'm not letting you leave until I say so." There was a hint of menace in his voice.

Willow lowered her head and took a bite of his arm.

"Ow!!" He released her arms for just a fraction of a second but it was all Willow needed. She quickly got up and ran to the front door. As she ran out, the hacker could hear footsteps behind her. She turned quickly and saw Xander running out of his house. He looked to see which direction she went and quickly spotted her. "Come back!" he yelled and started to run after her.

Adrenaline rushed through Willow's body as she ran faster than she ever thought she could. 'Faster, faster!' she told herself.

As she neared her house, the hacker took another look back. Xander was a block and a half behind. She could also see a truck coming down the next street Xander would have to cross. An idea quickly formed in her head.

Willow watched the truck as it made its way down the street. Just as it began to block her view of Xander, she turned and crawled into the bushes on Mr. Lewis's front lawn.

Two minutes later, the hacker heard footsteps approaching and froze. Someone had stopped in front of the bushes muttering to himself. Willow managed to peek through the shrubbery and she stopped breathing.

It was Xander.

'Dear God, don't let him find me. Please!!'
