"Buffy remind me again why you wanted to come back," asks Giles while driving his "classy"car down what is left of Sunnydales road, " There's no way there's anything left. It's over. For once all evil has been destroyed."
"Giles you can never be too shure about these things. There can always be the slightest chance that evil is still alive. Either that or someone will still be able to bring them back. Remember the Master and how we thought he was dead, and then they decided to try and resurect him? I don't want another episode like that, espcially a bigger one"
"Well, I know you don't and I don't either but there's no possible way anyone could bring anything back with that mess!"
"Now don't get too ahead of yourself Giles. Buffys got a point, and with all we've been through and encountered I wouldn't doubt it for a second," says Willow, joining the conversation but still continuing to read her book on witchcraft.
"Thank you Will. At least I know that someone agrees with me."
"Oh Buff you know we all love ya, and we'll always be by your side no matter what,"says Xander joining in with Willow while eating chocolate chip and macadamian nut cookies.
"I never said you weren't. I was just glad that Will agreed with me on this being that no one else was saying anything. What did you think I meant?"
"That is what I thought you meant. I was just mearly adding to it in case you didn't feel loved."
"Right. Sounds like your suckin up to me," said Willow with a smirk on her face and a voice as though no one is listening to what she's saying.
"It is what I do best," says Xander with a big smile on his face being as proud as he is.
They continued driving down what was left of the road to Sunnydale. While driving they suddenly came across something casting a glaze off the ground. They stopped the car and when they got out they noticed it was a small object. It appeared to be a large crystal diamond necklace covered in dirt and sand, and with a little bit of black soot on the edges.
"I thought this was gone," said Buffy with confusion and a low tone, "How did it get here? There's no...no possible way it...How?"
"Buff someone could have just cme by here, not knowing Sunnydale was gone, and dropped it."
"Xander, I don't think anyone came by here lately. There are only four sets of footprints and they're from us," Willow corrected.
"Well Will how else do you explain something like it. Its not like anyone we knew had something like that before we blew this place off the map," said Xander sarcastically.
"Spike...Spike was wearing it before..."Buffy with tears in her eyes and clenching her fists around the jewel while saying this, "Maybe he's still alive. I...I mean he was wearing it and, and if it's here now he probably dropped it. We have to find him!"
"Buffy there's a very low chance that he's still alive or that his body is even lying around someplace," said Giles trying to prevent Buffy from getting her hopes up.
"But there is still a small chance..."
"Well, yes, but even teh strongest..."
"Giles he was a warrior! He survived for centuries and you're about to tell me now, that after everything, that I can't get him back! I mean there has to be someway of finding him."
"Buffy I just don't think you should get your hopes up about all of this! All evil is destroyed, which would also include Spike!"
"He had a soul! God Giles! You just don't get it! You never truly gave him a chance did you. He ws good in so many ways, but you never let yourself see how good he was. You were blinded by the fact that he was a vampire, but I looked deeper! I saw the good in him, and I still believe I can find him. I won't give up until I do! Giles if you don't want to help me then go ahead and leave, but I'm staying. I don't care if I have to dig up this entire crater of land, but I will find him. Even if it is without your help."
