Xander and Oz were trying to break the metal bars that prevented them
from escaping through the window. They had no luck.
"Where's a God damn slayer when you need one?" stormed Xander.
"Right here," answered Faith. She had entered the room unnoticed by
the five men, and startled them all. Wesley let out one of his girly
screams and jumped a mile. Faith was quickly followed by two vamp
henchmen. "Angel, why don't you and I take a little trip up to the
mayor's office?" The two vamps started walking towards Angel. He
swiched into his game face and growled in anger.
"And if I don't?" he asked, sounding more like Angelus then Angel.
Without a word, Faith took a knife out of her jacket pocket, and threw
it a Giles. It imbedded itself in the wall, less then an inch from
the watcher's face. Angel saw the fear in his friends eyes, and
quickly morphed back into his human guise. Without a word, he allowed
the henchmen to escort him from the room. Faith grabbed her knife, and
with a grunt, extracted it from the wall. She gave Xander a wink as
she strolled out of the room, closing and locking the door. They all
breathed a sigh of relief when she was out of sight.
"You scream like a girl," Xander told Wesley in a fit of frustration.
The five of them looked at each other for the hundreth time in fear,
anger, and helplessness.
