Xander woke up moaning and looked around the room, which was curiously
hazy. He was laying on a hard table in a small room that was clustered
with boxes. Giles and Wesley were sitting on the floor, leaning up
agains't a pile of boxes. Angel stood by the door, leaning face first
against the wall with his arm between his forehead and the wall. And
Oz was sitting at the other end of the table. Slowly, Xander tried to
sit up, but Oz moved to stop him.
"Don't, you've been unconcious."
"What happened?" Xander asked
"I'll give you three guesses," answered Angel, obviously frusterated.
"Faith, Faith, and Faith?" Xander tried.
"Bravo," answered Oz.
"Well," asked Wesley, "Now what?"
"We wait for Buffy to come rescue us. We are much to valuable to them
to be killed. The Mayor knows what he is doing. All we can do is sit
tight." Giles was always the sorce of logic.
"That is not acceptable!" stormed Wesley.
Xander was quick to interrupt before they started to fight. "Angel,
what about your strength? Can't you just knock the door down?"
"Faith made it perfectly clear that one of you would be killed if I
tried something like that."
Just then the door opened and Faith strolled in. She shut the door
behind her and glared at all of them. Xander quickly sat up.
"Well, I'm impressed," she stated. "I would have thought you would
have killed each other by now."
"Why would we do something like that?" asked Oz.
"Are you telling me that you never wanted to murder Xander? I mean,
he did kiss your girlfriend and all." Faith had struck a nerve and
she knew it. Oz quickly turned his face away from both Faith and
Xander.
"And Xander. Come on, Angel and Oz are both grinding hips with the
two girls you love most, and Wesley is definatly puting the moves
on your ex." Xander closed his eyes in pain.
"Faith," Giles warned, but she wasn't through yet.
"Come on Giles," she taunted. "Wesley stole your job right out from
under you, not to mention that Angel over there murdered your girlfriend
and tortured you for like, ever." Giles drew in a sharp breath.
"Faith," stated Angel. "Thats enough!"
She stared at him, her eyes glazed over with hate.
"See you all later," she replied, leaving.
"What was the point of that?" asked a bewildered Oz.
"She is trying to surface any hate we might have for one another,"
answered Giles. "Most likely she wants us to be too angry with each
other to form a legitimate escape plan. We simply must not allow
that to happen."
The five of them looked at each other strangly. The were five very
differant people with one common bond that would hopefully save them
from this hellhole. Buffy.
