Buffy awoke on the ground, amid a pile of ashes. A small ring lay among those ashes. Buffy picked it up and slid it on to the cross necklace Angel had given her. She gathered the ashes in small vase that her mother had given to her for her 15th birthday, it had belonged to her great grand mother, Buffy now kept holy water in it. She stood up and walked to Angel's apartment. The deed was on the table, Angelus was going to sell it. Buffy guessed the apartment was now hers. She walked to the bed and took the red satin sheet that still laid upon it. She wrapped the vase in it and walked back to the cemetery. She emptied the ashes into the sheet and laid it upon Jenny Calendar's grave. She turned her back and whispered a short prayer. When she turned around the ashes were gone. She walked home and whispered, sighing a bittersweet, "Good bye."
