Don't worry , it'll play out. Um, I forget what happened to Acathla, but pretend it's still at the mansion. Oh, and this is kinda like What Dreams May Come, which also doesn't belong to me. Once again, I find myself in the white room, but this time Ms. Calendar, Merrick, and best of all, Angel, are there with me. Ms Calendar walks over to us. "Buffy, Angel, they've decided you two had such a hard life, so they are going to give you another chance," she tells us with a smile. I ask, "What do you mean, another chance?" "Well," Merrick says, "You two get put back on earth. You won't be the Slayer and Angel, you will be human. They've decided that you will be sent back to Sunnydale so you can meet Xander, Willow, Oz, and Cordelia. Of course, in that dimension, it won't be the hellmouth and some other things will be changed. So, what do you say?" I jump up and hug him, then Ms. Calendar. "Thank you thank you thank you!" I cry. They smile and tell us to go to sleep and when we wake up, we'd be home.
I wake up in my bed. At first, I'm confused, but then I remember what happened. I look over to my digital clock, which has the date on it. It reads 9-6-97. They placed me back before sophomore year? Ugh! I was just about to graduate! I get up and get dressed. When I go downstairs, my parents are eating breakfast. Wait, Mom and Giles? I guess he's my Dad now. Memories I never had flood my mind, memories of growing up in this house, knowing Giles as dad, and being best friends with Cordelia. Best friends? Oh God, I wonder what else is up with this world. Giles, er, Dad, interrupts my thoughts. "Good morning Buffy. Sleep well?" he asks. I nod and sit down at the table. "So honey, are you excited for your first day back at school? Sophmore year!" my mom asks. "Um, yeah, I think so," I reply. The phone rings and ‘Dad' asks me to answer it. Uh oh, this could be trouble. I go over and pick it up. "Hello?" I ask. "May I please speak Mayor Summers?" Mayor? "Um, sure hang on," I tell the man, "Um, Mayor Summers?" I call over to the table. Dad gets up and takes the phone from me. Whew, that was close. Mom gets up and informs me she'll be home from the gallery a little late today and leaves. Dad gets of the phone and kisses me goodbye. When they leave, the doorbell rings. I get up and answer it. "Hey Buff! Ready for school?" Cordy asks. "Um, yeah!" I say as I grab my bag. We go to the car and speed off. When we get here, Cordy informs me, "So, I hear there's a new guy. And as the two most popular girls here, I say we greet him properly!" I smile and ask, "What about Xander?" "Oh, please. I'm talking about you! You totally need to get over Rick!" I smile as Willow and Xander walk up to us. "Hey guys," Cordy says as she kisses Xander. "Hey Will, Xander!" I say to them. "Hey Buff. Hear about the new guy?" Willow asks. I nod and we walk over to a bench. Lots of people say hi to us as we pass. Oz walks over and joins our group. The first bell rings and we all go off to our new classes. Cordy, Xander, and I all head over to US History together.
When we all settled into our seats, Synder comes into the room and informs the class that we have a new student, Angelus O'Reiliy. Angel! he walks in, looking about 16 years old. He smiles at the class and notices me. the teacher tells him to take a seat and he walks over to the desk next to me. "Buffy?" he asks. I smile and nod happily. "No more cradle robbing creature of the night boyfriend," I tell him softly. He laughs and shakes his head. Somewhere, Ms. Calendar and Merrick smile as they watch us.
