"Aww, come on, you guys can do better than that!" Buffy easily dodged a punch thrown by a heavily muscled vampire. As a second vampire rushed her, Buffy jumped up just as the third vampire rushed at her from behind, causing the two vampires to run into each other and fall helplessly to the ground. She quickly turned her attention to the first vampire, assaulting him with kicks, blows, punches, and finally, the all mighty stake. He exploded into dust, and the Slayer turned her attention to the two remaining vampires. She quickly tripped them onto the cemetery grounds, and staked them.
"Well done Slayer, but then, I don't expect any less from you." An unfamiliar voice caused Buffy to turn around. A slim girl about her age appeared before her. She spoke with a silky cruel voice that told of centuries of life experience and looked at Buffy with cold violet eyes. Her blood red hair flowed down her back, and stopped short at her ankles. She wore a black tunic over an elegant white shirt and breeches. Her eyes were outlined with silver, and she wore a light crystal sword, its hilt decorated with red gems.
"Who the hell are you?"
"I have many names. But I am known by one name. I am always there, in the purest of hearts, in the cleanest of souls. One opening is all I need to grow, to thrive and get you under my control. I am the thing that evil hides from. I wander all over, havoc and destruction make my path. I am -- "
"Okay, I get your point, you're evil. I was actually looking for a name."
"You have an attitude Slayer, it's gonna get you killed one day. I am Saran, the first daughter of Mother Flame and Father Universe."
"What are you doing here?"
"I am here to help a friend of mine, I think you've heard of him. Goes by the name of Angelus?"
"Angel? What are you going to do?!" Saran laughed, approached the Slayer and said "My dear girl, we are going to destroy the world!" With that, Saran disappeared in a flash of light and left. Buffy shook her head in disbelief thinking - Giles is gonna love this. - And ran to the Sunnydale High School Library.
