hey, i'm just a bored kid writing fanfic. i have nothing, except my comp, and i dont think you guys want that, so all i have to say is : all the characters except Vera and Saran belong to Joss Whedon, the WB and all the other big shot companies!

Prologue

"No!" A loud scream punctured the silent night in the immortal realm. A dark haired girl watched as the towering inferno consumed the paddock and it's only inhabitant, a graceful black horse. As the flames continued to destroy the paddock, the image of the horse appears in the flames, its eyes accusingly starring at the girl. The image disappears as suddenly as it appeared when the inferno burned itself out. The girl dropped to her knees sobbing.
"Why? Why her? why now?" The girl stopped her sobbing, rose to her feet with steely eyed determination, looked up at the sky and hollered.
"Saran, I'll get you for this! I'll chase to the ends of this world, and the next! In Mother Flame's name, by the end of the next full moon, I will have you begging for mercy at my feet! Ya here that?" The girl looked up at the night sky, blue eyes burning with hate. "Answer me bitch!" The sky swirled in fury, the multicolored stars swimming in chaos. The earth shook violently as the near by ocean heaved itself against the shoreline, sending waves of saltwater crashing into the craggy rocks. Ice cold winds howled with fury, ripping the trees out by their roots, and sending debris swirling into the air. A sickly kind voice rang in the dark haired girl's head. - You called sister? -
"Don't give me that 'sister' shit."
- What troubles you? Have I caused you grief? -
"You know what the hell you did, so don't toy with me!" The voice took on a hard edge. - Fine, so I killed your horse, it's not like there aren't any others in this realm. -
"This isn't just some ordinary creature! Black Fire was the key to saving this hell hole from the invasion of vampires!"
- I don't see why you're worrying, it's not like you can be killed. So what if a few vampires come into our world? -
"Don't you get it?! We immortals can't die, but mortals can! If any one of them gets even a drop of our blood, they will be invincible!"
- Point being? We can't die, and they are only mortals, I never understood why the hell you care about their world so much. -
"I don't expect you to, besides, I have my reasons."
- Sure you do. -
"Turn back time. I need to get back so that I can save Black Fire."
- Haha. You must be joking. I wouldn't turn back time for anybody, especially you. Now, if you please, I have an appointment with a few vampires in the mortal world, we're planning the end of their world. Stop me if you can Vera. Hahahahaha! - With that, Saran's presence disappeared.
Vera mumbled a few insults directed at her sister and vanished in a ball of light.
