Disclaimer: I do not own the characters associated with Buffy the Vampire Slayer that have been already mentioned in the show. Any other characters are mine. I claim full rights on all ideas, it is an original plot.
Author's Note: I wrote this story before we knew about Surprises and Innocence, some of things revealed are things similar to what Joss covered. My, my, how we think alike! This does cover the return of Spike and Dru, so if you want to call it my version of S/I, go ahead, but there are some major differences. Confused? You should be, read on! Oh, and don't forget feedback!

Part One
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Angel lay in his bed, asleep, dreaming not so pleasant thoughts. "You love her, don't you," Dru said in her sickly voice. Her Elizabethan white gown flowing as she stood across the room from Angel in his apartment. Dru slowly walked over to Angel, extending a hand, ever so slightly, as she pressed her fingertips against his chest through his T-shirt.
"Dru... I can't take back what happened," his head sagging as he spoke, "I wish I--" His head abruptly jerked up, as Druscilla no longer used her fingertips to glide her hand down his chest, but she used her nails. Angel gasped in pain at the shock to his body, where three slow moving streams of blood ran down, soaking his shirt.
While doing this, Druscilla shook her head, "Sssshhhh~~~~. No, no, no, no, no, I didn't come here to talk about that." Glancing up at him with remembrance in her eyes. "You're one of us." Without letting him get a word in edgewise, "Do you remember the cakes and pastries my mummy used to make?"
Angel's eyes glassed over with regret and remorse. For some reason, he couldn't avoid looking into Dru's eyes, "Yes," Angel breathed a heavy sigh, "I remember." The blood had stopped flowing by now.
Druscilla reached down with one hand, lifting the T-shirt up to his shoulder blades. She switched and held the T-shirt with her left hand, forcefully against his chest. Druscilla brought the back of her right middle fingernail on her right hand down across Angel's chest, along his abdomen, then she stopped. Dru brought her head down to the streaks of blood on his chest. She extended her tongue, from left to right, and bottom to top, licking the still moist blood from his stomach and chest, keeping eye contact with him the whole time. Angel lifted his head towards the ceiling, and sighed, as if contemplating what to say, "Dru," Angel began, still looking at the ceiling, "whatever you're thinking ... DON'T," the last word coming out as surpressed discomfort. He had forced back a shrill of pain, to make it sound like an uncomfortable grunt, as Dru had finished licking the blood, and let her hand drop to his groin area, where she had forcefully yanked her hand up, holding it in.
He brought his gaze back down to Dru, whose eyes had not left him the entire time, "Do you remember," she began with an erotic undertone, breathing heavy on his stomach, and looking up at him with a wicked smile, "all those ... LONG, HOT nights," she let the words roll off her tongue.
"DRU," Angel said forcefully, "this can't be. I've changed!" Angel swiftly removed Dru's hand from his crotch. Dru came to a rising position, never averting her gaze off of Angel. She began to stroll around him, brushing him with both sides of her hand, in a slow, methodical manner.
Dru brought her head close to his ear, "You'd like to believe that, wouldn't you. You and I both know it's only a matter of time before ...," she left off the ending of her phrase. The silence hung in the air, as a presence of foreboding doom. She was behind him now, and raised his crotch in the same motion as before. She heard the groan of discomfort pass through Angel's lips. "You know you can't hurt me anymore," she said with a sweet smile, unaware to Angel, but in a tone that would make your blood run cold, as she pulled up on his crotch a little tighter.
Angel woke up with a start in his bed. "What in the world," he pondered his dream, as he was in a state of utter confusion.
Giles looked at the library clock. It was 3:00, and the gang had all finally shown up. Jenny Calendar sat to Giles' left side. Cordellia sat on one end of the table, with Willow on the opposite far end. Xander sat across from Giles, situated between Buffy and Cordellia. Buffy was sitting across from Ms. Calendar. "I'm afraid," Giles said while stroking his forehead, "that I may have overlooked something," Giles motioned to the open book on the table, pointing to a particular passage. "It says here," he began, bringing the book from the center of the table nearer to him, "that in two days time, 3 planets from our solar system will align, and evil will take over the body of a good one. The carrier, or vessel, will be one of immense power, or shall receive it. The 'spirit' can remain latent, until it decides the time is right to show itself, waiting for the right moment to strike." Giles stopped reading and looked at the group.
"Okay, you said 'good one', does that mean anybody who's acted halfway decent in their life," Xander piped.
"Well, Jenny and I were studying this earlier, and what…um…we believe, is that it means someone who allies themselves against the forces of darkness, " Giles explained.
"So it could be any one of us!" Cordelia looked shocked, and rose her hand to her chest, as if pushing away something, "I'm not going to be taken over by some icky, disgusting, evil creature."
Giles chuckled slightly, then looked at Cordy, "If you're the one, I don't think you'll have much choice."
Buffy looked up all of a sudden, with her head tilted, looking at Giles with that thoughtful look in her eyes. "Wait a minute, you said 'vessel', does that mean like a 'Harvest vessel'?"
"What Jenny and I have extrapolated from this prophecy so far is this; that the word, 'vessel' means any body that has been prepared for being taken over. Since the person would most likely be against this, the person would probably have to be unconscious for a little while." Giles slowly peered at everyone, to see how they were digesting the news. "Was there any time you have been rendered unconscious by someone or something?"
Buffy's eyes drifted in the direction of Willow, but being deep in thought, Buffy didn't see her. A moment later, she came back to reality, and her eyes shifted back to Giles. "There was that time I drowned in the Master's Lair," Buffy shuddered internally at the thought.
Xander cut her off, "But you were alone in the Master's Lair, right? I mean, when Angel and I showed up there was no one there," Xander shrugged his shoulders, "at least not that we know of."
"I don't know Xander," Buffy looked at him worriedly, "It appeared that way, but ... There was also that time when Marcie drugged me. But I think if a vampire had shown up, it would have put a kink in her plans. She also didn't seem really big with magic. That's all I can remember."
"We also mustn't overlook the possibility that it could be someone else," Ms. Calendar interjected.
"But who that isn't present and accounted for," Willow asked, puzzled.
Jenny Calendar gave them all meaningful looks, and they all realized whom she was referring to.
"Alright," Buffy said, "so in two days time, something evil is going to take over one of our bodies. Is there anything we can do to prevent it," Buffy asked hopefully.
"Nothing that we know of yet," Giles added, dejectedly, "We'll keep looking though."
