A Fairy Tale

Disclaimer: You know the drill. I don’t own the Buffy characters. The Sleeping Beauty story used is from a Disney book I had, and I don’t own that either. If you’re trying to keep up, here’s the line-up: Buffy – Aurora/Briar Rose, Angel – Prince Philip, Giles – King Stephen, Joyce – the Queen, Xander – King Hubert, Faith – Maleficent, Willow – Flora, Tara – Fauna, Cordelia – Merryweather
Time line – takes place sometime between ‘Earshot’ and ‘Choices,’ therefore Faith has been ousted as being bad.
“Once upon a time-“ “Oh, come on, I’ve heard that line before,” Buffy interrupted. “Come on, just listen to the story,” Angel said with a smile. “But, I’m tired of listening to fairy tales. I want to live a fairy tale!” “Well, you’ll just have to settle to listening. Just lie back, and listen to the wonderful story of Sleeping Beauty,” Angel said. The sound of his voice lulled Buffy into a sound sleep, filled with dreams of princes and princesses, fairies and evil queens, and happily ever afters.
