SUNNYDALE LIBRARY GILES is reading a book, while Buffy is looking over some weapons.
GILES: Well, now here is an interesting fact about the first, it can't take the form of just anybody, it is limited to only the dead, the first will use this power to get the person they're trying to effect to hate, and once the hate is present, the first is present in them.
BUFFY: Yeah, I remember the whole riff about 'I'm every drop of hate..and so on and so on....'
GILES: yes, well the first cannot make a person do what they say but they can put ideas in the persons head which is equally dangerous.
BUFFY: But, why is it still here, I mean, it's not doing anything to Angel.... could it be it's picked a new target?
GILES: I don't know, I'll consult my books for further research.
Buffy gets up and goes into the cage where Giles keeps the weapons as Giles goes into his office, a wind picks up in the library and a book appears out of nowhere on the table, and opens to page 213. Giles reappears with a hand ful of new books and notices the arrival.
GILES: Well, now what is this? Buffy, did you bring this here?
BUFFY: Bring what? She returns to her sitting position on the table as she was before.
GILES: This. How very odd.
BUFFY: Yeah, I know, a book in the library, boy, this is just keen
GILES: No, I don't recognize it...I, le'ts see what it's pertaining to He glances over the pages and gets a shocked look on his face GILES: Where did this come from? WHERE!
BUFFY: Don't get all wiggy, Giles, what does it say?
GILES: Apparently, according to this book, there's a prophecy to take place tomorrow night. Um, one I, have personally never heard of. Um, it's in Latin, it's uh, the day, of death and um, suffering. Sounds pleasant enough
BUFFY: Wow, and if this book never showed up we wouldn't even know about it, huh.
GILES: Yes we're lucky, but we only have a day to prepare for whatever this is, um, where are Willow and Oz
Willow and Oz, come walking in to the library WILLOW: What's up Giles?
GILES: a prophecy, um, tomorrow night, we need to research....FAST! Find out all you can, Buffy call Angel tell him to come right away
At the mention of Angel's name, Oz's head lifts adn he gets an evil look in his eyes.
GILES: Where is Xander
WILLOW: Huh, oh, uh Xander was um, in the uh, the thing, in the uh, middle of the school, and, why are you all looking at me like that, Buffy?
BUFFY: Huh, looking at you like what, Will, what's up
WILLOW: OK! He-he tried to kiss me, but it-it was nothing, less than nothing, it was so much of nothing, that I can't discuss it any more cuz..... it's just so much of ....NOTHING!
XANDER walks in the doors of hte library
XANDER: So are we in research mode?
GILES: yes, we need all the people we can to research
BUFFY: I'll go call Angel
BUFFY walks into Giles' office adn picks up the phone, Angel is reading a book at the mansion and picks up and old looking phone
ANGEL: Buffy?
BUFFY: How did you know?
ANGEL: Well I don't get many calls pertaining to my light company, or what church I attend so, I narrowed down my choices. What's Up?
BUFFY: Oh, you know, evil stuff.
ANGEL: So, what do ya need, or did you just want to talk
BUFFY: Um, actually I need you to come over
ANGEL: To...uh, um, your house?
BUFFY: No! uh, I mean, we need your help with research, here, at the library.
ANGEL: Oh, uh, ok I"ll be there in about 15 minutes.
Oz appears behind Buffy, to listen in to the conversation BUFFY: Ok, so see ya in 15 minutes then. Yeah later. She clicks the phone down and oz turns around and returns to the stacks. He looks at his watch
OZ: 15 minutes till fun. Watch out Angel
