FAITH's APARTMENT
FAITH IS LISTENING TO SOME LOUD ROCK, dancing up a storm, suddenly at a corner in her room appears her old watcher, her dead watcher. FAITH is speechless and her music suddenly cuts off, she's scared, but her watcher speaks in a soft, reassuring voice.
FAITH: Ms.Bradley? What.
MS. BRADLEY: Faith, dear, what are you doing? Why are you here? This isn't where you're supposed to be. You deserve better.
FAITH: I- um, is it really you?
MS. BRADLEY: Talk to me, sweetheart. Tell me. Why aren't you back home?
FAITH: I, um, I don't have a home. After Kakistos killed you he, he killed mom and... it can't be you
MS. BRADLEY: It is, now tell me, why didn't you go back to Missouri when you killed Kakistos
FAITH: How did you--
MS.BRADLEY: I've been watching you
FAITH: I don't have anyone to stay with, I have no family, no home. I'm-I'm alone in the world, but it's not too bad being alone, when theres another slayer nearby.
MS.BRADLEY: but, honey, you are not wanted here. Buffy and her lout friends were better without you. I-I'm just looking out for you, I've heard them talking about you, they, they want you gone.
FAITH: no,no they're not the kind of people that would do that
MS.BRADLEY: You're absolutely right, they wouldn't tell you, but they would think it and discuss it, because they do.
FAITH: I-I I guess I should leave
MS.BRADLEY: You can't just leave, with them hurting you so badly, tell them talk to them, hurt them like they've hurt you. Take all your anger, all you rage and take it to them pour it unto them. They deserve it
FAITH: they do?
MS.BRADLEY: What do you think, really?
FAITH: they do.
LIBRARY Buffy enters the library
GILES: Buffy you're here, you're back, you're alright
BUFFY: What's with this worrying riff? Oh, right, your car is fine
GILES: Thankyou. Oh, I, how did it go, are you Ok you look a bit sick, to be honest
BUFFY: Gee, thanks for the honesty, but I'm Ok, sorta I mean, Well there's good news adn there's news that should be good but it hurts. The good news is Angel hasn't been seeing the deceased and the other news is.... something personal and private that I won't be sharing with the librarian.... no offense
GILES: Oh, no bloody offense taken there.
BUFFY: I need to find Willow.
IN THE SUNNYDALE HIGH SCHOOL PARKING LOT OZ and WILLOW are getting off the van. A Figure full of blood appears behind Oz, as he closes his door.
The figure: (whispering) Oz....Oz.. we need to talk
Oz turns around and finds a girl, blood and open wounds all over
OZ: Ok,tell me that's a Halloween outfit and you're just dressed up as 'Inside-Out girl'
figure: I'm Theresa, we-we need to talk. Lose the chick...now
OZ: I,uh,......... (he stares at one of her wounds) OK. Willow?
WILLOW: yeah?
OZ: Um, Can you go somewhere?
WILLOW: What?
OZ: I uh, need a minute alone, it won't take long, I'll catch up
WILLOW: Oh, I thought you were feeling better about your cousin?
Oz: Huh, oh yeah, well.
WILLOW: I'll be waiting She strolls off alone
OZ: Ok, now? You are
THERESA: Theresa, I already said. I'm one of Angelus' victims.
OZ: meaning....you're dead?
THERESA: Oh, c'mon Oz, you don't remember me? We had P.E. together last year, I was one of Buffy's...well i knew her, I was her partner, when when she flipped over Larry, in the self-defense part of class. Who could forget that?
OZ: apparently me. So you're dead, adn your visiting me....well I feel special... what can I do for you uh,......... Theresa
THERESA: I can feel your hurt. A vampire killed your werewolf cousin and a vampire killed you. You see I'm dead. I can't get my revenge, but you're feeling just as pissed as me. You have to do it for me.
OZ: Like i told Willow. I'm not the avenging type
THERESA: So you mean to tell me, you don't remember the face off you had with Angel over my dead body? You don't remember smelling my blood and coming forward to find my body drained from any fluid?
OZ: (has a flashback of the night and remembers) I, I, what do you want?
THERESA: I've already told you.
OZ: Revenge, right. So you want meto kill vampires? um, I already do that miss, or at least I take part in the slaying party. Research and what not.
THERESA: not vampires, just Angel.
OZ: That'd pretty much make it the slaying party against me, and those are't good odds.
THERESA: Fine, you don't care about your cousin enough
THERESA MELTS INTO A VISION OF TIMMY
TIMMY: I'm not important, am I Oz? Angel will be visiting the library tonight, I know it, but you don't care about, it, about me.
OZ: Tim...I, I, Angel is going to die!
