Angel turned again to have one last look at Buffy, who was fighting with Giles to go into the vortex.
Jenny smiled at him.
"If you want to come with me, it's time," she said, holding out her hand.
"I love her," Angel said. "I love her."
He turned back to find Jenny, who had disappeared.
The group heard Jenny's voice again.
"I forgive," she said.
Angel began to cry.
"Thank you," he said.
He began to walk forward, until he was at the opening of the vortex.
"Do you forgive me?," he said, standing there facing the group.
They looked at each other, and then at Buffy. She held out her hands.
"Do you forgive me?," she said.
He looked at the healed wound in his stomach from her sword.
He took her hand. When he touched her, it burned her skin, but she did not want to let go.
"I'm not afraid anymore," she said.
He stepped out of the vortex, and stared at her.
"You're here," she said, her hand on his cheek, feeling his cheekbones.
He embraced her.
"You saved me," he said.
"No, I didn't. They did," Buffy said, turning around to face her friends.
"They saved us," Buffy said.
Buffy let go of Angel and walked to Giles, who was fighting his tears.
"I missed you," she said, holding her Watcher. "All of you. I am so sorry I ran away."
Cordelia smiled at her.
"We've got plenty of time to talk about that later. I think she needs some time alone," Cordelia said, pulling Xander away.
