"Almighty God we implore thee to open your heart to forgive the wrongs of our dear friend. We forgive and now we ask you to do the same.
"I forgive," Jenny said.
In an instant, she was overtaken by a large blue light, and a million rays of sunlight surrounded her. Giles was the only one who did not close his eyes.
"Goodbye," he said.
Buffy opened her eyes as Jenny disappeared.
With the flash of light from Jenny's transformation, the vortex opened.
Inside, Buffy could see Angel, and she wanted desperately to run into the vortex and hold him. As she started, Giles held her back.
"Wait," he said.
The rest opened their eyes to see Miss Calendar, shrouded in light, reach out to Angel, who had a look of horror and bewilderment in his eyes.
"Angel," Buffy said. "What's happening, Giles?"
Jenny touched him, and instantly, Angel stood up and embraced her.
"Is he going with her?," Buffy said. "No!"
Angel turned around and smiled at Buffy, and then smiled at Jenny again.
"You make the choice, Angel. Whatever you do is forever," Jenny said.
He looked at her. The embrace had cured the wound in his stomach, and he felt calm and at peace with her, this woman he had killed. He knew if he returned to Buffy and her friends that he would have to pay for all the crimes he had committed, as if hell weren't enough punishment.
"I want to go with you," he told Jenny.
