Prologue

It was the year 2003 B.C.. On an island that no longer exists, a young looking woman was walking down the flowered path towards her hometown, Faenswood, home of the faeries. Tall and graceful with dark brown hair, she was clearly one of the race of faeries. The enchanted ones. They carried wisdom in their old, old hazel eyes. Some faeries were good and dedicated their lives to helping the peasantry who made up a large part of this realm's domain. Other's practiced black magic and used it for chaos and destruction. They delighted in torturing the commoners and often used human souls in various spells when it suited them.
"Christa! Christa!" a young man called out frantically to the girl walking along the path in front of him.
"What is it?" she asked coolly. It was only a young faery boy. Barely 500 years old.
"The town--" he began to pant for breath. "The commoners! They placed a-a curse on the town!"
She laughed. "What could those peasants possibly do that would be of any harm to us?"
"They--they cast an AGE spell on all the faeries!"
Christa gasped. An age spell. It was one of the most powerful spells written because it was practically irreversable. To think one of those weakling peasants had gotten hold of it was almost unthinkable!
"They cast it on everyone in town! Don't go back. They'll get you too."
"We must go back," Christa said firmly. "We have to help find a way to reverse the spell."
Suddenly, a bright red blaze could be seen over the trees in front of them.
"The town--!" the boy gasped in a whisper.
Dropping her basket of herbs, Christa began to run with the other faery towards the blaze of fire.
