Before the guards could get in Spike pushed the button to take them up, hopefully to Buffy’s office. The doors close and when they opened again Buffy and Angel were waiting for the lift.
“Hey Spike, and Dawn” Said Buffy laughing nervously.
“Hey Buffy” said Dawn. She sounded angry and upset.
“Okay” said Buffy “If I pay you, say, twelve thousand dollars will you forget I’m here?”
“No! you betrayed me!” said Dawn
“I did not!” Shouted Buffy
“Then why did you leave me?!” Said Dawn as she cried.
Buffy looked uncomfortable, she looked at Angel.
“Because, you’re not really my sister” she said
“God Buffy! How can you say that!” said Spike.
“It’s her choice” Said Angel.

Later that night Spike, Angel and Dawn were on the Wolfram and Hart jet going back to LA.
Spike was mad at Angel because he had taken Buffy’s side. He was taking Dawn with him back to LA, she could stay with him.
Buffy had decided to stay in Rome. She wasn’t the same person as the one he remembered. Spike had also decided that he couldn’t trust Angel because he and Buffy had been talking and now he didn’t care about Dawn.
