You know the deal. Joss owns everything, I own nothing.

Buffy's mouth dropped open. "Faith's... replacement?" She croaked in disbelief. Making her way unsteadily down to the reading area she dropped into a handy chair. "Willow. The Slayer." Her voice was little more than a whisper, but Willow's newly sharpened hearing caught the faint murmur.
"Yes." She confirmed her friends shocked statement.
"You don't seem too surprised," Buffy noted.
"I heard about Faith on the breakfast news. It didn't take me long to figure out why I feel so... different. But I expected your reaction to be a little more like Buffy's, Giles. You're taking this very calmly." Her mind raced as she spoke, compiling probabilities, eliminating factors - and again and again coming to the obvious conclusion. "You knew. You knew I could be the Slayer and you didn't tell me." Her voice held more than a trace of anger now.
"I suspected," Giles corrected the new Slayer mildly. "Why do you think I asked you to do so much research for me, encouraged you to stay in the library during Buffy's training sessions?"
"I thought you were teaching me to become a Watcher," Willow snapped. she thought. < I didn't mean to let that slip out. >
"For a while I thought so too. I know the second I saw you that you would someday be a very important part of our... organization, and as your extraordinary intelligence and thirst for knowledge was revealed to me, I believed that you were destined to follow in my footsteps and be my successor. You would have made a superb Watcher," Giles replied affectionately. "Your innate shyness meant that, at first, I totally discounted the possibility that you could be a potential Slayer, but you have an inner spark, a fiery determination and strength of character which has been revealed more and more of late. These traits are the hallmarks of a Slayer."
"Willow the Vampire Slayer," Willow mused thoughtfully. "I like it."
"WHAT?!"
Reacting to the shriek with lightning fast reflexes, the two Slayers were facing the door in a fighting stance before Giles could even turn his head. Buffy relaxed again immediately, but Willow became even tenser than before, for standing in front of her with a look of glassy-eyed horror, was Xander.
