"We should cast warding spells around the mansion that will allow us to come and go, but will make anyone who wants to come here not interested." said Buffy. Angel nodded.
"Shouldn't we shield the garden, too?" asked Laura.
"Sounds good to me." said Buffy. "We should ward Acathla as well from everybody in general. I'll take care of that."
"Laura, you take care of the wards for around the mansion. Becky, you do the garden. Angel, collect some supplies like candles, and a couple of books would be nice."
The coven members dispersed to do the wardings.

Buffy entered the long chamber that Acathla was in, heart numb. The statue stood where it had before. With a shudder, she drew the circle in chalk around the statue, placing a candle for each of the cardinal directions.
Stepping in front of Acathla, Buffy extended her arms. The candles flared to life.
Hear my plee,
Powers that be.
Ward this now,
And glory to thou.
Let no one touch this,
Let no demon breach it.
May no harm beset it,
May nought come out of the Pit.
Red fire flared in a circle around Acathla. The candles each turned into pillars of green, blue, yellow, and red. They all converged on Acathla, then turned pure white. The statue shimmered, then disappeared.
Buffy fell to her knees, and looked at where the statue had been. The area where the circle had been was scorched black. The smell of brimstone hung in the air.
