It all began when I was five.
My real family was witches. My father married my mother, and she died having me. My mother was a really good witch, and she passed the ability on to me.
Unfortunately, I was only five. I used my powers to call changlings to play with. Once my aunt got home and bound them, they made lovely vases, but other than that, she wasn't too happy.
They gave me a stern lecture that time. For a while, my mischief was limited to getting things out of cookie jars without being seen.
Then, when my step-mother and my father were out on an anniversery, I accidently opened one of the lesser demon planes with a spell I found in my aunt's Book of Shadows. My aunts got there just in time.
They decided to bind my magic until I was responsible enough to use it. So, for the next nine years, all I could do was badly focused little tricks, like bursting pipes and making pencils spin. Nothing really serious.
My family moved to LA, and I started to go to a private school. There I met three girls. Eve, Becky, and Laura.
They were witches, only they couldn't do anything. They realized quickly that I was the real thing.
I wasn't very popular. Half the school thought that I had slept with the football captain, when in fact I had to fend him off. To me, new friends seemed like a great idea.
I thought that what had happened when I was five had been a childish fantasy. I was proved wrong.
