As much as I love the Buffyverse and everyone involved in it, I do agree with those of you who are not happy with the attitude of some of the actors. I have been an SMG fan since she was on All my Children but I was turned off by her after seeing her interviewed by Howard Stern years back. She acted like she was the whole show and complained about how little she got paid. Although Howard Stern pointed out that she had a contract for a cosmetic company that she was paid VERY well for and that she wouldn't have had that opportunity if it wasn't for Buffy. But during the whole interview it really bothered me how stuck up she seemed about the whole thing.
I just can't understand why any of them would think of it as a bad thing. It was a very successful show that was incredibly well written. I couldn't imagine anyone not being proud of that.
Buffy is and will always remain my favorite show. I've been watching other shows here and there and they just don't meet up to the standards of Buffy to me. I think Buffy has ruined me for all other TV because nothing seems to measure up but I wouldn't trade that for the world. My obsession will just have to live on in reruns and fan fiction.
I would love to see a Buffyverse movie but at this point I've given up hope. I have recently read articles where Joss has stated that he didn't think it was going to happen. He is doing a Buffy season 8 comic book but i've recently learned that since there is already Spike and Angel comics with another company, those two characters will not be a part of Buffy season 8. Spike is my favorite and he is the one character that I've been dying to see more of. I want to learn what happened to him after the end of Angel. Joss has said that Spike and Angel survived after the big fight and I've even heard somewhere that Joss said Spike "Shansued." I'm not sure how true that is but if that's the case then a Spike movie wouldn't be that difficult to pull off regardless of James Marsters' age. If Spike becomes human then it would be natural for him to look older. Also, I'm a huge Spuffy shipper and I'd love to see some closure with that storyline as well.
I just wish they would continue it somehow. Whether it's a straight to DVD movie release, or a tv movie, comic book, or regular book, I just wish that it would live on somehow by Joss. And even though Buffy has plans to continue in Comic Book form, I'm not as interested in it because the one character I wanted to find out more about isn't even going to be in them.
