Spike, Angel, and Illyria stumbled into the hotel and there were 4 people in the lobby.

Spike looked up and saw Buffy before collapsing on the floor.

Buffy rushed to his side. “Are you okay?” She asked, kneeling next to him.

Spike looked up at her. “What are you doing here?” He asked.

Buffy ran her fingers over his face as tears came to her eyes. “Did you think you could have an apocalypse without me?” She whispered, attempting to smile.

Spike smiled a little and another woman appeared beside him.

“Spike?” Came Dawn’s voice.

“Spike looked over at her. “Hey, Dawn,” he said.

“You’re really here,” she whispered.

“Yeah, I’m here,” he said.

Buffy’s tears were flowing down her face. “Are you okay?” She asked.

Spike looked at her. “I’m tired,” he said.

Buffy got to her feet. “You need to get upstairs to rest,” she said, holding her hand out.

Spike slid his hand into hers and she gently pulled him up. He swaggered a little but gained a sturdy footing.

Another young woman came forward. “Mom? Who’s he?”

Spike looked at the girl. “Mom?”

“She’s my daughter,” Buffy said, squeezing Spike’s hand. “Her name’s Emily,” she said, looking at her daughter. “This is your father.”

Spike’s gaze snapped to Buffy’s. “What?”

“She’s your daughter. Our daughter,” Buffy said, with a small smile.

Spike looked at the girl who seemed to be about Dawn’s age. “How?”

Buffy let go of his hand and moved away from him. “Prophecy, but she is yours.”

Emily moved closer to Spike and looked into his eyes. “Mom, what makes you think that he’s my dad?”

Buffy went over and took Emily’s hand. She put Emily’s palm against Spike’s and their finger’s entwined. Something clicked in both their gazes and Emily smiled. “Dad,” she whispered.

Spike’s eyes filled with tears and Emily jumped into his arms. “I missed you so much,” Emily said. “Mom said things would be better with you around but I didn’t believe her.”

Spike’s arms tightened around her. “They will be if you and your mom and your aunt want me around,” he said.

“We want,” the 3 of them said.

“How’d you guys find out about me?” Spike asked, pulling away from Emily to look at Buffy.

“Spike, it just sorta slipped out, but don’t kill me,” Andrew said, making his presence known.

Spike looked over as Andrew came over to the group. “I told you not to say anything,” he growled.

Buffy crossed her arms. “Why’d you tell him that?” She asked.

Spike crossed his arms and turned to Buffy. “Because I wasn’t ready for you to know,” he said.

“When were you gunna be ready?” Buffy asked. “After you died again?”

Spike bowed his head. “Buffy…” he sighed.

“No!” Buffy flared. “I needed you and you weren’t here. I love you so much and you act like that’s meaningless,” she said, tears in her eyes.

“It didn’t take long for you to move on though, did it?” Spike asked.

“How’d you know about Mark?” Buffy asked.

“I saw you guys together when I was in Rome,” Spike said.

“And you didn’t say anything?” Buffy snapped.

“We were there on business,” Angel said.

“You were with him?” Buffy asked, looking at Angel.

“Yeah. And while we’re on the subject, what in God’s name are you thinking?” Angel asked.

Buffy crossed her arms. “What are you talking about?”

“The Immortal? Buffy, I thought you had more sense then that,” Angel said.

Spike growled and went toward the door.

“Spike,” Buffy said, stepping forward.

Spike ignored her and left.

Tears slid down Buffy’s face heavily as she crumbled in pain.

Emily looked over at her mother then at the door. She looked at her mother again before going after her father.

She saw Spike stalking down the street and ran to catch up with him. “Dad!”

Spike stopped and turned. “You’re gunna catch cold being here,” he said.

“What’s going on with you and mom?” Emily asked.

“It’s a long story,” Spike said, softly.

“She really missed you,” Emily offered.

“Your mom has a funny way of showing her feelings,” Spike said, as they walked into a bar.

“She’s only going out with Mark because she’s lonely,” Emily sat as they sat at the counter.

“She looks happy though,” Spike said, ordering himself a beer.

“She’s not,” Emily said, order a Sprite. “She’s always talking about you.”

Spike smiled at his daughter. “She probably sugar coated it.”

Emily smiled. “I got most of it from Dawn,” she said. “She’s like my age, so I don’t really call her Aunt Dawn.”

“She’s dangerous with that stuff,” Spike said, his eyes wide at what his Nibblet could have filled his daughter’s head with.

Emily laughed. “When we go back, will you talk to Mom?” She asked.

“I don’t think that’s a good idea,” Spike said.

“Just, lay everything out, when other people aren’t around,” Emily said. “There’s a lot that she needs to say to you and I think you may want to hear it.”

At the hotel, Buffy was sitting on the steps, with tears streaming down her face. “He’s gone,” she whispered.

Dawn went over to her sister. “He’ll come back,” she said.

“I’m not so sure,” Buffy said, looking at her sister.

“He loves you,” Angel said, from the other side of the lobby. “He’s hurting right now and you cant blame him.”

“Angel I love him,” Buffy said, softly.

“I know you do,” Angel said.
