Though they really do look startlingly similar, Nick Brendon plays the twitchy Xander and Kelly Donovan plays the cool Xander. Kelly Donovan does a bit of work on the show later in the season too, in the episode Intervention. Nick got sick, so Kelly was called up to play the scene.

Facts about Alyson Hannigan [Willow]:

-Alyson Hannigan was the one who told Joss Whedon about Nerf Herder, the band that did the Buffy theme song.

-He once said that Tony Head’s accent on the show is as fake as his; Tony’s accent is much more gritty, and after a while, James started molding his accent around Tony’s real accent.
-He was named #1 as the “Top Ten Sexiest Men on Buffy/Angel”.
Facts about David Boreanaz [Angel]:
-He was walking his dog one night when an agent noticed his dark, brooding looks and signed him as a client. He was cast as Angel the next day.

Facts about Kristine Sutherland [Joyce]:
-After the third season of Buffy, Kristine moved to France/Italy. This may be the contributing factor to her death on the series in the fifth season.
-Her original name was Kristine Young, but there was another actress with that name who, she claims, was not the nicest person in the world. She changed her name to avoid being mistaken with this actress; the name Sutherland came from her cat, whom she named Donald after Donald Sutherland.
