4 months later….
A loud “oof” escaped from the Slayer as she quickly dodged a potential uppercut
from a bloodsucker trying desperately to knock her off her feet. He simply failed to perform the task.
She was backed into the nearest corner by another vampire, growls and snarls emitting from the dark shadows before her.
The Slayer scanned for a weapon until she glanced at a fallen branch before her booted foot.
Finally, she thought to herself, picking up the potential weapon, ready to strike when a
strong hand grasped the vampire’s shoulder, tossing his body against a nearby mausoleum with a loud thump.
At first Buffy couldn’t see her savior until his face appeared under the direct moonlight.
“Angel,” she whispered, her heart sinking into the pit of her stomach.
All the emotions from memories past flashed through her thoughts, overwhelming her.
Has Willow told him about…?
She quickly became nervous and jittery, fidgeting her hands in the process.
Then she remembered he needed her help.
All thoughts vanished from her mind, she turn her gaze to the other
vampire dressed in dirty street clothes, a snarl forming on his bestial face.
Buffy didn’t bother trying to put up a fight. This vampire was simply too easy to kick his ass.
Before he could have the chance to touch her, he simply looked down
towards his dead heart, a branch already pierced through like a spear.
“Damn you to Hell!” he yelled before he became just dust.
Angel was still fighting the other vamp before he finally made his introduction.
“Missed me?” he asked, his game face on as he dusted the other vamp.
“Not that I’m not happy to see you or anything, but what the hell are you doing here?” Buffy
questioned, eyebrows raised, crossing her arms as she interregated him.
More than anything she was trying to hide the bulging belly only seem to be growing day by day.
She didn’t want to see her love like this. She simply wanted to hide.
“Helping you,” Angel remarked, wiping away traces of dust from his duster jacket.
He looked even more darkly beautiful than she had remembered.
Buffy didn’t answer, only tried to hide her belly from the only man she ever loved.
She turned her back against him.
“Buffy, is something wrong? You’re acting weird.”
“No! nothing’s wrong. What could be wrong?” Buffy shrugged his question as if it was nothing.
“There’s just something about you that’s different,” Angel’s vampire senses could feel it.
“I…uh…nothing’s wrong,” the Slayer said stubbornly.
Then she could feel strong arms wrapping around her slim form, his hands sliding down to her growing belly.
“You’re…pregnant,” Angel said simply.
Buffy sighed before responding.
“Yea, it’s mine.”
Angel was afraid to ask the tough question.
“Is it…ours?”
Again Buffy stayed silent before answering.
“Yea….it’s ours.”
“Ours?”
“In a nutshell.”
Buffy didn’t know whether Angel was angry or excited or neither.
“We’re gonna be Mommy and Daddy. In the sense that we’re not gonna be normal parents. Imagine our kid having a Slayer and a vampire as parents. When two worlds collide.”
Angel just chuckled. It’s a good sign right? Buffy asked herself.
It has to be a good sign..or something. Uh..this is so not a good thing..I think.
“Angel, are you mad? Cuz you can’t be. It’s so bad for the baby,” Buffy
babbled, finally turning to stare him directly at his deep chocolate brown eyes.
Angel only answered by placing his cold lips directly against her warm ones and it was only just them….
