When Nikki woke up the next morning she had no idea where she was. She was in a strange bed in a strange room. She looked around and the clock read ten thirty. Where was she?, she wondered as she struggled to get up. Her muscles seemed to scream at every movement. She sat on the edge of the bed to take in her surroundings. It was a small room with one double bed, a wardrobe, a book case overflowing with books and a small locker beside the bed.
She looked at her clothes folded neatly at the end of the bed. She was wearing a warm, white shirt which fell below her knees. She walked out of the room and saw a note neatly tacked on the door.
You collapsed last night so we thought it would be more convenient for you to stay here tonight. If you need to contact me I will be in the library all day. Make yourself at home,

Nikki continued out of the room and down the stairs. Every room in the house contained numerous books and diaries on subjects from American history to Witchcraft.
She smiled to herself when she looked in his presses and found some Earl Grey tea. She had discovered that the Americans didn’t have a taste for tea unless it was iced. She made herself a cup of tea and sat down at the table. There was a pile of the leather bound books left on the table so she took one from the top.
“Witches and warlocks”, she read the title and turned to the first page. “What a collection”.
