LOS ANGELES - 2039
The vortex opens and Faith and Charly step out only to be hit by thrown bottles. They take cover behind an autocar, and they look at the situation. A mob of people were shouting and yelling slogans and throwing bottles and bricks at the police. Faith looked at the police more closely: they were all vampires.
FAITH-
"Turner."
CHARLY-
"Who?"
FAITH-
"US President Vincent Turner, a vampire who actually did the impossible, he took over the world."
CHARLY-
"I read about him in ancient history class." Faith shoots her a look. "Sorry. That must be Samantha Cross in the middle, she led a small revolt of humans."
Faith watches as the mob is attacked by the vamp cops. The mob falls back as Faith and Charly escape into an alley. They make to the next street over and spot Cross running down the street....with five Bringers on her tale. Faith jumps out and takes two of them as Charly shoots the others. Cross keeps running.
CHARLY-
"Why go after her?"
FAITH-
"What do you mean?"
CHARLY-
"She dies in a couple of months anyway."
Meanwhile, the First is watching a group of Bringers dig through a wall. Suddenly, one of them brings out an ancient book and opens it in front of the First.
THE FIRST-
"Finally....my vengeance."
