Spike really couldn’t describe it. This was something that he had been feeling for a while now, but this was different. Somehow, in a matter of hours he had become completely enchanted by this girl. There was something different about her… Looking over at her, as they walked down the sidewalk through the cool night, he grins.
She was giggling then suddenly looks up at him. “Not to be mean… but you’re a little odd buddy”
Playfully he pouts “Why, because I said that?” She was adorable and a tease.
“Yes” She grins childishly with a slight sparkle in her eyes.
The conversation flowed the entire time. This was also something that he hadn’t had in a long while. This particular chat had been going on for about a half hour, but he really wasn’t sure if it had a focus. “Well it’s the truth”
She giggled again. He couldn’t help but smirk. It didn’t matter.
“Look,” He walks out In front of her and begins walking backwards. It was a completely innocent gesture. Just so he could talk, walk, and look at her all at the same time. But he could stop his eyes from looking over her again. The way that skirt was moving was driving him mad. “Just because I like it doesn’t make me odd”
“No, no it doesn’t…” She swings her purse playfully with a cheeky smile. “But the fact that you admitted it to someone you just met today, does”
Generally, a girl couldn’t keep him interested longer then ten minutes but for some reason she did. “Yea well you were the one who brought it up....”
"But I'm a girl… I supposed to like movies like Breakfast at Tiffanies. You on the other hand…" She had an undeniably cute teasing face.
He could not help but feel that he may have been falling a little too quickly, maybe it was because of his previously ill-fated relationship. Possibly it was because he may actually miss his Ex- , or maybe it was just because he hadn't had a good lay in nine months. Whatever the reason he knew this feeling. "What so just because I'm a guy, I'm not allowed to like that movie"
She shook her head causing her coiled hair to bounce around, framing her face "No, that's not what I'm saying…"
"Then what are you saying?" He returned to her side, walking forward but still looking at her watching her little expressions. She was different.
With a childlike completely dumbfounded expression, she looked up at him. "I'm not sure…. That's kinda sad… I don’t even remember what I was teasing your about"
The kind of different that intrigued him. Tilting his head he arched an eyebrow. "So you admit, you were teasing me?"
"Well yea… but it's kinda pointless now… I don't remember why"
He smirks. "Don’t worry luv, I don’t think this conversation had a point."
"Oh…" She pouts a sexy little pout then suddenly smiles "Oh well I don’t feel so bad then But I'm still upset I forgot… it's gonna bug me now… I think I'm ageing prematurely"
He knew she was finally loosening up because her adorable girlish timidity wore off and was now replaced with and equally delectable playful tease. Of course it could have just been the apple martini she ordered after dinner. Whatever the reason, he was far from complaining. "Nonsense luv, age has nothing on you."
A shy little smile crept on to her face, as he caught her gaze. To his abhor, she quickly looked away. So he was wrong. The bashfulness was still there. But it just made him want her more.
Looking around, she scrunched her nose and looked at him questioningly. "So um, where are we going?"
Spike stopped dead in his tracks and so did she. "What do you mean, where are we going?"
"I mean, where are we going? Ya know, like where is our destination?"
"I thought I was walking you home"
"Oh… Well this isn't the way to my place"
He looked dumbfounded for a moment. "But I've been following you. I thought you knew where you were going."
Her shocked expression quickly changes as she bursts into a fit of giggles. "I've been following you! My apartment building is like 4 blocks from here!"
Considering it, he suddenly gave into laughter as well. "Well I'm certainly not complaining luv, just gave me more time to spend with such a beautiful girl."
She blushes again. He could not help but enjoy it. "So tell us cutie, what now?"
Finding herself again, she purses her lips together. "Ummm, well I guess we… head back?"
Spike sweeps his hand out before her, and smiles. "Lead the way"
