Authors Note: I live in England so forgive any errors in continuity as "Reptile Boy" has only just been shown over here. The rest of the information I have comes from transcripts and past episode summaries. This takes place after Zeppo. Enjoy.
I could have stepped out of the shadows at anytime. I have been watching them since she moved here. I have been delighting in the way they torture themselves and each other and not just them the other mortal fools. With their short lives, it would be expected that they would fill every day with as much as they could. They don't, they are fools.
I want to cause him pain for everything that he has done. For everyone that he betrayed and every promise he broke. I will make him pay. My name means pledge and that's what I am, a pledge to break him. I could have before now. When the slayer first found out what he was I could have whispered in the slayer's ear. I could have made her hate him so much that even knowing he had a soul she would have killed him.
Once they had found some sort of peace with each other, I could have shattered it with my presence. I could have smothered their fledgling romance with my identity. However, I have learned patience. If I had interfered then I would not have seen her struggle to hate Angelus and grieve for Angel. I would not have seen her heart tear in two when she sent him to hell and most important of all I would not be able to go now, when they have already faced so much, found a sort of contentment, and reveal whom I am.
I wonder, after all he thinks he has done to the slayer, now he can feel guilt again and knows how much she endured for those months that Angelus walked in his body, will he just let her kill me?
I don't think so. How could poor tortured Angel, who is still plagued by guilt, and nightmares, about killing his entire family ever let the slayer kill the only person who in kin to him, the only person to escape the massacre of those closest to Angel? A secret he didn't even know about. A woman he has never met.
His daughter.

"Master He will betray us. I know that he will I can feel it."
"Cassandra, while I am usually certain of your prophecies this time you are wrong. Angelus will never betray us he has been a vampire for only two months and already he has made a name for himself among the Watchers." The Master was beginning to become annoyed by Cassandra. She had not stopped talking about how Angelus would betray them ever since Darla had introduced him. He supposed that it would be worth humouring her if only to get her to shut up.
"But Master!"
"Very well. What must we do, seer?" he asked.
"There is a woman who carries Angels child. She hold the key to his eternal fidelity."
As the plan was revealed, the Master's smile grew wider. It might just work and even if it failed then they would lose nothing. Those were the sort of risks he liked to take.
If it did work, Angel would be theirs forever.
