As Angelus and Harlen stepped out of the tavern, the owner yelled at them furiously before slamming the door in Angelus's face.
the two drunken youths walked through the streets. Harlen heard his friend say something about his father before he dropped to the ground, hearing Angelus say, "Well, why don't you rest her, then?" before he let sleep take him or was it the alcohol?
Angelus looked down at his friend with a wide grin on his face, Harlen always was a lightweight when it came to drinking. He looked up to the alley to see a young woman standing there, her blonde hair was tied back and from the distance Angelus was he could tell that she was pretty. She smoothed her white gown before looking in his direction and slowly began to walk into the alley.
An evil smirk made it's way across Darla's lips as she went into the alleyway, waiting for the stupid and drunk human to follow. She had always liked handsome young men for meals but this one seemed different and he could be useful, she would have to see and then test him.
But she would never get that chance. Before she could anticipate it, someone grabbed her, not even her vampiric strength was enough to get out of the hold. She was thrown to the ground and she looked up to see a young dark-skinned girl with frizzy black hair and wore an outfit that was strange in Darla's opinion.
"Who are you?" Darla hissed, revealing her vamp face.
"I am Kendra, de vampire slayer and I was sent here to dispose of you," She said in an accent that Darla had never heard before.
In one quick motion, Kendra pulled the stake and jabbed it into Darla's heart before she exploded into a pile of ashes.
Kendra turned towards the footsteps that were heading her way. "I hope you'll be happy, Buffy," She said softly as she disappeared like the ghost she was now.
Angelus looked around the alley to see that no one was there, thinking that he had too much to drink for the night, he headed home

Claire walked into her families' new home.
"It's beautiful," she breathed, looking at the inside with amazement.
"It is, isn't it," said her older sister, Annette, looking up from her book and at her sister.
the house was large with many rooms that were nicely furnished. Her family had just moved from England and now they were in Ireland.
After saying Goodnight to her sister, Claire made her way up the staircase and to her room. She took her dresses and looked through them on the bed, dresses that were made of silk and lace and were now in current fashion.
She hung up each dress neatly in the closet, taking a couple of corsets and placing them in the drawers of her dresser before sitting in front of her bedroom mirror.
Claire had never really thought of herself as beautiful, even though sometimes men looked her way. Her sister Annette had always been the prettier one of the two but Claire was the smartest. And not very many men liked a woman with brains, they always went for the stupid and pretty ones. And claire felt as if she were a disappointment to her parents because she wasn't normal. Weeks ago Claire had snuck down stairs and heard her parents talking about both her and her sister.
They were going to marry Annette off to a rich noble in this area. After meeting him Claire hated the man, he had to be the most self-centered person she had ever met, besides being young and handsome he was arrogant, spoiled, and very annoying.
Claire pitited her sister and was very angry with her parents, did they even care how Annette felt? do they even care about them?
To her father they were only instruments to be used in order to gain power for himself by marrying them off to rich men. Her mother was a strict and very proper lady but loved to be the center of attention at social events.
Claire's parents disgusted her at times but they did have their good sides. She knew that Annette was their favorite daughter because she was both proper and more attractive than she was, none of this mattered to claire.
Her father didn't think there was much of a success in marrying Claire off to a rich nobleman, he had said that she was too wild and at times improper. Claire didn't really care because if they saw her as an embarassment then they wouldn't marry her to some stuck-up noble. But she still cared about her sister, she worried for her and signs of depression were beginning to show on Annette but her parents pretended her to be the happy and nervous bride. And what a lie that was.
Finally picking up the brush after staring at her reflection for what seemed like hours, Claire began to brush through her curly blonde hair that came down to her waist.
After her hair was combed and braided back, Claire changed into her nightgown and climbed into bed before blowing out the candle that stood on her nightstand.

Angelus walked along side of the small lake, hearing the sound of waves crashing in the sea from distances away. He looked at the trees and flowers admiringly as the sun warmed his back. Thoughts of the other night came to him. He just knew that there was a woman standing near that alleyway, but where did she go?
Angelus stopped when he saw a woman's dress laid out on the grass, a noble woman's. He didn't get to look for her because within moments he felt a blade of cold steel against his throat.
His attacker stood in front of him, the blade pointing towards his neck and he found himself looking into the face of an Angel. Her soaked blonde hair was left hanging down to her waist and her underclothes clung to her wet body.
She glared at him. "Who are you and what do you want?" she asked coolly, holding the blade lightlyo against the front of his neck.
And it suddenly dawned on him that she thought he had been spying on her and her green eyes stared coldly into his brown ones. he thought,
mentally slapping himself, he said in a calm tone, "I was just out walkin', my name is Angelus. Would ya be so kind as to put down the sword?"
She removed the blade from his neck and placed it next to the tree, the sword wasn't hers anyway.
"What's your name?" he asked.
Embarassed, she looked at the ground before replying, "Claire."
"Well, Claire, I believe this is yours," He said as he handed her the dress.
finally realizing that she was exposed and under his gaze she took the dress as the color in her cheeks turned red as cherries. She slipped on the dress.
while tying the back Angelus asked, "Tell me, do you always swim alone?"
"What kind of question is that? Of course I do!"
"I'm sorry if I offended ya," he said apologetically, "It's just-"
"You had never known a woman that likes to swim in lakes?" She asked sharply.
"Yeah," he said with a smile, a smile that Claire found to be adorable. "Are you new in town?"
"What makes you think that?"
"The accent and I would have noticed you."
disturbed by the way he was staring at her, Claire said, "Well, good day to you, Angelus, it was nice meeting you but I must be on my way."
Lifting up her skirts to her ankles, Claire ran off.
"Claire, wait."
After cursing himself for letting her go, Angelus shrugged and began to walk back to town. knowing that he'll see her again and not to mention find out all he could about her.
