PLANET D'FOGON
Willow sets the shuttlecraft down a couple of kilometers from the camp. She still wished that Buffy had learn to pilot a shuttlecraft. She pushes a button and the huge back door opens and forms into a ramp. Buffy pulls out her phaser.
BUFFY-
"Phasers on stun." Willow adjusts her own phaser. They start running towards the camp, using the boulders to cover their movements. Above them, a Marquis guard spots them and runs off to tell Spike.
The guard runs into Spike's tent.
GUARD-
"Spike....Starfleet officers are....coming."
SPIKE-
"Dalton, slow down. From where and how many?"
DALTON-
"The southeast...two of them." Spike smirks and turns towards Faith.
SPIKE-
"Well, well, well...looks like you don't have to kill me. You lead them right to me." Spike draws his phaser.
FAITH-
"Wait....how do you know they Starfleet?"
DALTON-
"There wearing uniforms."
FAITH-
"Spike, Section 31 would not send people wearing uniforms."
SPIKE-
"Then you are they?"
FAITH-
"I have no idea." Spike sighs and turns back to Dalton.
SPIKE-
"Bring them here....alive." Dalton nods and heads out. "Faith, pray that you know them. If you don't I'll kill them....and then I'll kill you."
Buffy moves up towards a ridge. Suddenly, a phaser beam streaks past. She yells for Willow to get down and returns fire. Willow screams as a phaser stun hits her. As Buffy turns around, she is hit in the back and everything goes black.
When Buffy comes to, her and Willow are drapped over horses. Their hands are tied, and their phasers and combadges have been taken. Her head is throbbing...the clear sign of a phaser stun. They reach the camp and are brought down off the horses. Faith and Spike walk out of a tent, and Spike has his phaser pressed against Faith's back. Buffy didn't try anything. Even a phaser stun could be fatal at point blank range. Everything changes when Spike and Faith see who it is.
SPIKE-
"Buffy...Willow....release them." The guards untie them and they walk towards Spike and Faith.
WILLOW-
"Faith, you are alive." She wanted to hug her friend, but Faith was never into that.
FAITH-
"Yeah, how you guys find me."
BUFFY-
"When Willow saw the transporter log, we knew something was up. We went to Luna and talk to a bartender named Willy."
SPIKE-
"Willy....that git could never keep his mouth shut."
FAITH-
"You know him?"
SPIKE-
"He's a Marquis informent."
FAITH-
"We have some things to talk about. Come on." Faith told them about the toxin. Actually only Willow was listened....Spike and Buffy had other things on their minds. After the talk, they got up and walked out of the tent.
BUFFY-
"Don't worry...people will find out about this. Come on guys." Only Willow starts to follow Buffy, while Faith stood her ground. "Faith?"
FAITH-
"I'm not going back with you."
BUFFY-
"That's an order, Commander."
FAITH-
"You can't give me orders anymore. I'm dead remember."
BUFFY-
"Why do you want to stay?"
FAITH-
"After learning about Section 31 and the toxin....I can't go back to Starfleet knowing that element is there. Besides, once the story gets out....Sloan would have me killed the first chance he gets. Here I'm safe." Buffy nods her head. Faith was right about that, and besides once Faith has made up her mind...the discussion is over.
BUFFY-
"You will always have a place on the Sunnydale." Buffy and Willow walk back to the shuttlecraft and leave.
A few writers later, reporters all over the Federation were reporting on the toxin. The President ordered an investigation. Everyone involved knew that no one would be charged with anything. In fact, the President probably knew about Section 31.
Back on the Sunnydale, Connor looked at the object he had bought on the black market. Maybe it was time for him to leave too.
