Ash wasn't expecting when Angel walked right into her hotel room like he owned it. She looked him over, from flashing dark eyes and dusty leather jacket. He walked right to her and smiled. It wasn't a nice smile, but it was lopsided.
He said, "You sent your servant after me."
Ash thought as she watched the other vampire. Angel went on, "Yeah, she's dead. Maybe you'll learn your lesson, Ash."
With that, he took her hand. He placed a bunch of earings and gages in her hands. Jaquline's piercing and things. She looked into his eyes, surprised to see him grinning like that.
"You bastard," Ash countered.
Angel smiled and replied, "Easy kill, really. But one should watch out for those steel-toed boots."
Ash couldn't think of anything to say, except the normal villains' cliché'. "You will lose, we will win," Ash told him lamely.
Angel smiled and replied, "You can try, Ash, but it won't be easy." With that, Angel left Ash in her hotel room.

Angel walked to the office at a slow pace. He knew this wasn't over yet, not over by a long shot. So, he knew he had to be prepared.
