The old mansion was dark, lit with only candles that filled the late Victorian home with a ghostly air. A petite, young woman walked through the home uncaring and unafraid. The dark was calming to her, the creature of the night that she was.
Her long black skirt swung around her ankles as she walked. A vampire dressed in black leather stepped in front of her. She didn't look at him, just held out her hand and took an envelope from his hand. The vampire stepped respectfully back from her. A dark red garnet on her middle finger sparkled in the dim light as she opened the parchment envelope.
She looked up between the dyed blue strands of hair around her face. She shook back the rest of her long black hair and smiled.
It was about damn time.

Several lovely young women trailed their fingers over his chilled flesh. He smiled and leaned his head back against the headboard as one leaned out and licked his chest. Another went down to the waist band of his pants, and he smiled. He entwined his fingers in her short blond hair as she began to undo his pants.
Then, to disturb his moment, one of his minions entered the room. His head jerked up as the vampire handed him a parchment envelope. He ignored the girl as she neared her goal as he opened up the letter. He jerked up when he read its contents. His garnet ring on his middle finger flickered in the pale light. He shoved the girl off of him and stood up.
Well, this should be interesting.

His head was bent over a leather bound volume of some ancient text. He frowned as he read what was inclosed in the ancient volume. He reached out and scratched an imaginary itch on his forehead, his garnet ring catching in the light.
A child fiend walked into the room, looking innocent and harmless, which was exactly the opposite of what she was. Her plaid jumper faired about her legs as she walked to him. She had a parchment envelope in her dimpled hands. She walked over to the table and handed it to him. Curious, he scanned through its contents. A smile formed on his face.
This was the perfect time to gather.

The vampire was fighting just for the fun of it. His hands and legs moved with deadly precision. He reached out, grabbed the martial artist he was fighting, snarled and dug his fangs into the man's throat. The warrior cried out and grabbed at him. The vampire had him drained in a matter of moments.
His garnet ring caught the dim light in the ally as he dropped the body to the ground. He lifted his head up to the night air, inhaled, and smiled. It was a good night to fight and feed. Then he sensed one of his minions joining him in the ally. The vampire was holding a parchment envelope in his hand. He took it and read its contents.
Well, this was going to be fun.

She looked up at the Eiffel tower in awe. She walked up to it and ran her fingers along the steel beams. Then, with her petrahuman hearing, she heard a young woman scream. Curious, she walked to the sound to see a scummy French man standing over a young, attractive, American tourist. The girl screamed again as her attacker settled on top of her.
She reached out, her garnet ring flashing crimson, and grabbed the would-be rapist. She snapped his neck with precision and coldness. The girl looked up at her with a combination of fear and relief in her blue eyes. She placed her hands on her hips and told the girl,in English, "You better get home. There are things that lurk at night that you don't wanna be shitting around with." The girl got up and ran.
She leaned up against the brick wall and feigned a sigh. She sensed the presence of one of her own come near her. She tensed up, ready to fight as she recognized the messenger. She was handed a parchment envelope. She growled at the guy and ripped it open. She groaned out loud as she read its contents.
This was not going to be fun.

There were seven vampires gathered at the table. Three female, and four male. But these weren't just any ordinary vampires, no, these were the Circle. The group of the seven most dangerous, oldest and most powerful vampires in the world. Each of these seven vampires had a coven of their own followers, and some of them had their own covens and so on. These seven vampires had their fangs into almost all the vampiric activity in the world.
There was the witch, a girl who was in her early twenties when she was changed. She was beautiful and exotic looking. She was dressed in a long black dress and her long black hair had been dyed blue around her face.
There was the scholar, a man who was a Watcher, but after his Slayer had been killed, he decided that he would enjoy the eternal night of the vampire. He was in his late thirties, with dark hair with silver liberally streaked into it. He was handsome with hawk shaped features and an intelegnece that most vampires didn't have.
There was the seducer, a young man who could take any woman alive, or undead, as his own. He had slept with everything from Slayers to succubui. He was dressed in head to toe black leather, and his longish black hair fell into his warm hazel eyes. A lovely young woman stood behind him, looking at the other vampires with interest.
There was the warrior, the one who had been in battle so many times that his left eye had been cut out. A black patch gave him a roguish quality, and his other eye, a bright blue, glittered fiercely as he looked at his brothers and sisters. He ran a restless hand through his pale blond hair as he waited for the discussion to begin.
There was the innocent, a female that was changed during her early teens. She was hateful little fiend, and perhaps, the most vicious of them all. Her combat boots were placed on the table, and she was dressed in baggy blue jeans and a "Dragon Ball Z" T-shirt, making her look like any teenage girl that was an outcast. Her dark blond hair fell into her hateful grey eyes as she looked around.
There was the leader, a handsome male vampire with dark red hair and greyish-blue eyes. He was very composed and intelligent, keeping one foot firmly planted in tradition, and the other firmly planted in the future. He smiled at all of them.
Then, there was Ash. Ash looked up at each of her brothers and sisters with slight distaste. The leader, Joshua Hunters, was the name he went by now, spoke, "Ash, is there something wrong?"
The innocent, named Jennifer, said, "She seems to have something stuck up her ass."
Ash sweetly replied, "Well, Jennifer that's one better than you are, kiddo."
The seducer, Damon, the witch, Umbra, and the warrior, Dais, laughed at that. The scholar, Irons, just nodded. Damon said, "Well, you know, Ash was in Gay Parrie."
Ash glared. Damon shrank back. Hunters cleared his throat and started, "The time is now. This world is ripe for the picking."
"About damned time," Jennifer grumbled. Ash glared, and Jennifer, ballsy little thing, glared back. Ash had never figured out how the child fiend had gotten on the Circle.
Umbra asked, "What about Russel Winters, I heard he was killed?"
The door to the office opened, revealing a group of well-tailored lawyers. Their leader was a handsome young man with black hair and blue eyes. Ash looked up at him questionably. Hunters asked, "So, what can you tell me of Los Angeles."
"There's a player," the lawyer answered.
