LOS ANGELES
Gunn and Fred help Buffy and the others with what little luggage they had left. It was decided after a good dinner, and a nice sleep, the order of the day will be to do some shopping. Buffy looks around in the lobby of the Law Offices of Wolfham and Hart.
BUFFY-
"Angel, are you sure about this?"
ANGEL-
"Well, I figure if I want to help people, then the resources here should help me do that."
BUFFY-
"Just be careful. Remember, this same law firm tried to kill you for the past four years." She begins to walk away to find Dawn.
ANGEL-
"Buffy, I'm sorry....about....Spike."
BUFFY-
"Um, thanks."
ANGEL-
"We have a number of empty offices we can make into sleeping rooms. Come on, I'll show you."
CHEYENNE MOUNTAIN, COLORADO
SGC
Carter looks over the data, and she still can't believe it. Nothing at all, there is no reason that a whole town could disappear like that. She looks up at the clock, it was almost time for the debriefing. O'Neil, Jackson, and T'Leac were already there where she arrives.
O'NEIL-
"Okay, Sam, dazzle us."
CARTER-
"Uh....I don't know."
O'NEIL-
"That was a let down."
JACKSON-
"It's strange, we have found no evidence of a fault line or underground river or...well...anything to explain this."
O'NEIL-
"But it was not a Gou'uld or Wraith attack."
T'LEAC-
"They would not attack in this manner, O'Neil." Suddenly, the phone buzzed and O'Neil pushed the conference button.
AIRMAN-
"General, we have just picked up a Jaffa signal heading towards Earth." SG-1 jumps out of their seats and heads to the control room.
O'NEIL-
"Close the Iris. Any off world activity." He watched as the giant metal lens spiraled-closed the Stargate shut.
AIRMAN-
"No, sir. Uh....General, the signal stopped."
JACKSON-
"Where was that signal going to?"
AIRMAN-
"Los Angeles."
O'NEIL-
"Sam...."
CARTER-
"On the way, sir. Daniel, come on."
After the unpacking was done, Dawn decided to take a walk around the block. Willow comes running up next to her.
WILLOW-
"Dawnie, you okay?"
DAWN-
"Yeah, I mean....the Hellmouth's closed, we won the war. But my house...Anya and Spike." Willow puts her arm around Dawn and holds her. They were lost in their thoughts, and didn't notice the two large men in trench coats and hats walking up behind them. Willow turned away suddenly, and the two men pulled out two strange looking guns. They fired, and bright blue bolts of energy hit Willow and Dawn knocking them out. The two men grab Dawn and carry her off, leaving Willow lying on the sidewalk.
