Spike stared at Fred open mouthed for a moment longer,
then he swooped down and, minding Illyria , kissed her
passionately.
The other side of the room, Cordy, who was watching
Rhiannon sleep in her arms, looked up and saw Fred
and Spike give in to their true feelings. She nudged
Angel and nodded towards them.He spotted them and
smiled.
Now he had Cordy, Connor had Dawn, Spike had Fred,
Lorne was upstairs with Connor and Dawn. Gunn
sat talking to Buffy, who had calmed down now.
A few hours ago, he had felt...a few hours ago he
had not felt. Nothing mattered. Only get back Heather.
But he was so upset he had not even managed to help
look for her.
"Erm," he said standing up "anyone hungry?"

"Mmmm" Said Fred as she ate a mouthful of her ice cream. "This is the nicest stuff ever"
"Yup, only the best for my girl" Spike grinned.
Angel coughed and stared at Spike "Excuse me. Who's paying for this? Me!"
Everyone laughed. "Anyway, how are you two enjoying eating food?" Cordy asked as she eat a profiter
roll.
Spike was the first to answer "It's horrible, I can't taste anything properly"
"Aww, poor you" Fred whispered in his ear, then she put her spoon in her empty bowl and rested her
head on Spike's shoulder. "I feel sorry for Lorne. He's coped up back at the hotel, looking after 3
babies"
"Aww, don't worry about him Fred" Gunn pointed his spoon at her "He's really happy to. Bet he's
singing to them right now. Anyway Connor's there watching Dawn"
Wesley who was sitting next to Buffy relised she had not said a word all night.
"Are you ok?" He whispered to her.
Buffy jumped and turned her head to face him. "W-w-what?"
"I asked if you're ok" Wes replied
"I'm ok! Just leave me alone!" She stood up and shouted. Everyone in the restaurant stop talking and
stared at her.
"It's ok Buffy, Just sit down" Gunn put her hand on her arm. She grabbed hold of his forearm and
though him across the room. She stood there and tears started to pour down her face.
Angel stood up to walk to her, but Cordy stopped him. "I think she needs some girl time" she said to
him. She nodded at Fred who unwrapped herself from around Spike.
The two of them took Buffy, who was hysterical by this point, and lead her towards the Bathrooms.
Buffy whispered repetitively to herself "Why? Why? Why?"
Angel, Gunn, Wes and Spike sat in silence, paid the bill and headed towards the hotel.
