Same place, 30 minutes before. Sun has not set yet.
Buffy, Faith and Dawn are doing the last little bit of killing. Remnants of the demon army tried to make one last stand. Points for effort, failure in execution. The slayers and lil sis are having a slaughterfest.
BUFFY: Is that it? That was the last of them right?
FAITH: Hell, I’m up for some more. Don’t see what everyone was so worked up about, that was one of the weakest armies I’ve had the pleasure to dismantle.
DAWN: (catching her breath) Could I just say, whoopee, its over. Can we just find Angel and Spike now.
FAITH: Yeah, B. Where to you think they are.
BUFFY: I have no idea. The hotel is, well, gone. I once came to visit before he got the hotel, but those office were blown up as well.
DAWN: Doesn’t have too much luck in the office department does he?
BUFFY: No, he doesn’t. But we can check the Wolfram & Hart offices, just in case. Giles said the building was still standing, but no sign of anyone.
FAITH: Sounds like a plan, let’s head there, see what we can see.
BUFFY: Come on Dawn. We’ll find them.
Down the street, in an alley behind a warehouse, a flash of light occurs. In the shadows lay a man, naked. He gets up looks out into the street and sees the three women standing amid a pile of demon corpses. He starts to walk towards them, wanted to shout out, “Buffy?” and steps on a broken bottle. He realizes he has cut his foot. Holding his one foot and hopping on the other to avoid the rest of the bottle, he steps into the dying rays of the sun. He feels the warmth on his face. Ignoring the pain in his foot, Angel smiles.
