SAN FRANCISCO STARBASE

Giles looks out of the viewport that overlooks the Earth. Over the last few weeks, he has been to review boards and de-briefings. He knew that was coming, his ship was destroyed. As he sets his tea on the table, Admiral Quinten Travers sits next to him.
TRAVERS-
"Captain Giles."
GILES-
"Admiral."
TRAVERS-
"I'm sorry about the review boards. It was, of course, a formality. Two of your officers were kidnapped by the Borg and you destroyed your ship."
GILES-
"I know what happened, Admiral, I was bloody there."
TRAVERS-
"Captain....be careful. Captain Picard is the most senior Captain in Starfleet, but with you don't watch your tone...I'll dismiss his recommendation."
GILES-
"What recommedation?"
TRAVERS-
"We have a brand new Intrepid class starship being commissioned next week. Captain Picard has asked that you take command, with the rest of your staff. The starship will be commissioned USS Sunnydale NCC-1640-A." Giles couldn't believe it. A brand new starship.
GILES-
"Yes, sir."
Buffy, Dawn, Willow, and Tara leaves the Starfleet Medical Office in San Francisco. Willow and Dawn are back to normal.
BUFFY-
"Did you guys hear the news?"
DAWN-
"What news?"
BUFFY-
"Starfleet commissioning a new Sunnydale...an Intrepid class."
WILLOW-
"Like the Voyager...wow, that's a change from the orginal."
TARA-
"And guess who is the crew, us."
DAWN-
"Cool...as long as there is no more trouble."
Elsewhere in the galaxy, a Klingon Bird Of Prey cruises through space. Sitting in the captain's chair is Ethan Rayne. Mr. Trick is his first officer.
TRICK-
"I'm not sure about this."
ETHAN-
"About what?"
TRICK-
"Why is this guy so important?"
ETHAN-
"Ripper cost me my Starfleet career, and now I will cost him his."
The Bird of Prey cloaks and becomes invisible.
