Meanwhile Everything in Wolfram & Hart was running as planed. It was just about to reach the next Episode. And the next few things I need to make sure that everything goes, as it should. After about a week Wesley got a hold of us on the phone in the hotel. He said that the Kid and his family had come in and said what Angel had done. So we headed over to the Office after we hung up.
“Ok Wes.”
“I don’t understand what’s going on. Why is Angel flipping out like that?”
“Well, that Guy was Angel’s son Connor. It’s a long story…” I said because I could tell that Wesley was looking at me weirdly. “Your memories where erased and remade, because of a whole lot of crap that Angel thought was better left unknown. You are to look into it, and you think that it wasn’t a memory reprint but something that will bring Fred back.”
“Ok so what did I do?”
“Angel’s son is the only person that can kill this one demon, I forget why, but his memory has been changed too. He doesn’t remember how to fight.”
“Well then,”
“I’m getting to it. See you fellow angel to the house of the demon who is trying to get Connor to kill the other demon. He has this little Cube that keeps the world memories that where the way they really are. If it is smashed around anyone who had there memories changed they come flooding back, and mixes up with the false memories.”
“And I go and smash it.”
“Yes, thinking it will return Illyria back to Fred. But it will return the memories to you had changed…….Now these are very painful memories. Angel had them changed for a reason. But if you and Illyria don’t go and smash the cube Connor will die in the fight.”
“Oh…I see, well then, I guess it something I will just have to deal with. If I can save that boys life but simply getting back painful memories…….”
“Very Painful”
“Doesn’t matter. I’ll do it. Just tell me what to do.”
“Just let things go as is, tell angel you think you should be helping this kid. When he finds out what’s going on he’ll do what he thinks is right.”
“Then”
“Then, when Angel takes the kid to fight the one demon…. you’ll understand what I mean soon. You and Illyria follow him and smash the little cube.”
“What will angel do?”
“He’ll ask you to please don’t, but only this time you’ll smash it because it’s the right thing to do, not out on malice”
“Well then…. hmmm all right”
So this scenario played out just as it should of in the Episode, which was weird, but as the day went on Illyria and spike “did” the testing of her powers has Angel asked for, even though most of the testing was done when we where in the watch tower. Wesley didn’t tell him what was going on with her, so he just told angel ok. Spike how ever would of care better not to have had to fight her just for show, and having Lobo and Hellboy here he didn’t see the why he was the one getting kicked around, But he went along with this none the less.
The day went on and, As in the episode; Angel and Connor went of to Cyvus Vail’s mansion to fight that Sahjahn guy, everything went as it had been in the show. Connor and Sahjahn where fighting. Connor was losing rather badly; he had no fighting skills with his new memories, But just when Connor was to the point that he was being choked almost to death. That is when Wesley and Illyria made their way there. Illyria stopped time just as she was asking. And the following now played out different for the Story of the TV show.
“Open it no…” angel said but cut short from finding Cyvus Vail frozen. He turns to see Wesley and Illyria standing there with the Cube “be careful”
“This is the thing I have come for then.” Wesley said
“Wes give me that” angel said then was more kindly knocked back by Illyria. He was not flipping end over end to the other side of the room, just stopping him from getting anywhere near Wesley.
“Do Not Come any closer” Illyria stated clearly knowing that I had said angel would try to stop them.
“It changed the world,” Wesley said.
“He’s my son Wesley” angel said hoping this would stop him “Connors my Son”
“I know Angel, I know that this will Change back our memories” Wesley said
“What?” Angel asked
“Our memories this will change back our memories” Wesley said
“Wes I can explain just put that down” Angel said
“He said it will bring back the past,” Wesley said, before lifting it up in his hand “ This has to be done”
“No Please, you have to trust me” Angel pleaded
“I’m afraid it’s the other way around” Wesley said as he reached Up and Smashed the Cube on the ground. Blowing the three of them back in a shower of glowing sparks.
Wesley laid on the ground, Staring at Angel with a look of Half sorrow on his face. The memories that I have told him about cam rushing back once more.
And Angel said “Connor” and jumped to see how he was doing. He saw Connor grabbing Sahjahn be the throat, and flipping him over the table, then rolling over the table and grabbing the axe from it, fighting Sahjahn and shortly taking his head off.
Angel walked carefully over to him, but found that it Connor had kept his made up personality. He asked to head back to see his parents.
Back at the Office Wesley found me he seemed very Worried, and unhappy. He found me and Spike talking in the Lab, I was looking at the computer that had my desktop and hard drive on it. Looking for anything else I might have on it. Wesley came in and looked straight at me
“It’s done,” he said
“Oh, yeah by the look on your face, I could tell that.” I said “ I said that the Memories where going to be hard for you to live with.”
“At least I know what happened”
“Do you?” said Illyria; “I have two sets of memories, those that are real and those that are fabricated…it hard to tell which is which.”
“Try to push reality out of your mind” Wesley said as Illyria looked at him confusedly “Focus on the other memories, they where created for a reason.”
“To hide from the truth”
“To endure it”
“Well it was made so you did have to live with the pain, Angel didn’t want you to hate yourself or know he needed you to help him with his fight.” I said.
“Now want.” Wesley asked.
“Hmm, that’s a very good Question” I said, “We all will really have sometime to kill. Because the next thing that happened to you guys on the TV show, was Illyria’s going Super Nova and having to keep her from killing everyone. But I have already finished that”
“Yes well we still need to get back gunn.”
“Well we have a Week till that come, I need to make sure Hamilton thinks everything is as he planned. Then me, Illyria, Lobo, and Hellboy will go get him”
Just then Angel had walked in to talk to Wesley.
“Ok, how the hell did you know what was going on Wes?” Angel yelled
“Well Wes I think we can tell him now.” I said
“Tell me WHAT!?”
“First, Illyria would you please bring Lobo and Hellboy over from the hotel” I asked her
She just opened a portal and stepped out of site
“What’s going on? Wes someone better tell me something.”
“He’s a git isn’t he” Spike said.
I jumped in to say something before I had to sit through a twenty minutes back and for bitching match “ Haven’t you wondered why I have been here, or why everyone has been trying to help me.”
“I just thought you where one of the side cases”
“Yeah, well more like and outside case” I said, “ I got stuck in this world, you may have remembered me saying that last week.”
“So of it”
“Yeah well, “ I said “ well let just say I have information that I have been helping you guys with, I order to try to get myself home”
“What kind of information?”
“Well I just know a lot of what is going to happen soon…lets just say I can see the future for now”
Just after I said that Illyria had reappeared, followed by Lobo, and Hellboy.
“Oh yeah, who are these guys again?” Angel yelled
“Ok, Do you read Comic books?” I asked
“No! What are you telling me? These guys are from comics”
“Yes, Lobo Here is from the DC world. Illyria, Wes and myself where in the world last week”
“We met I Person Called Superman.” Illyria added
“You…. you met Superman?” Angel “why didn’t you bring him here?”
“Well…wait…. Lobo, Spiked Go check around make sure that Hamilton guy isn’t around, I want to make sure no one other the us hears this”
They walked around and said that he was walking just outside the hall heading up the stairs.
“Hmmm… Illyria would you please put this room into a speed up time pocket.”
“I shall” Illyria said
“Thank you. Well that should give us plenty of time and keep what we say from outside ears.”
“Illyria seems to be pretty willing you do what you say?”
“Well what I ask, yes, after I told her my plan she has been more then helpful. After meeting the DC worlds Heroes I think she also realized that things have change in many worlds from the time she ruled the world”
“Yes, even this superman seemed to be stronger the I, in this human form” Illyria said
“Ok again you meet superman and still didn’t bring him along” Angel asked
“Well, we meet, Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, John Stewart the Earths Green Lantern, Martian Man hunter, Fate, and I myself Meet Batman.” I said.
“And Why aren’t they here? I mean Superman would be a great help.” Angel asked again.
“You don’t read comics do you. Superman gets his as kicked by magic, and this place is just full of the crap”
“Really….. I didn’t know that. Well what about the rest of them?”
“Well I mean I couldn’t take them away from their Job in their own world, so I decided to get Lobo for help. He is just as strong as Superman and well can’t die…at all”
“Really?”
“Yep, but I can’t tell you much more really. You need to keep working things out, as you would always have. Just know I’ll let you know all the important Bumps in the road.”
“Well whatever just stay out of my way”
“You got it,” I said, and with that the time bubble ended, and angel headed back to his office. “Wes, I still need to talk to you. I know Gunn is the guy how would do it, but have got that contracted for Lobo drawn up yet.”
“Oh, yes, its in my office lets go there now”
“Cool we need to have it done before we go get Gunn.”
“Why is that?”
“We are going to coast this firm a lot of money getting him back, and I wanted to make sure you got his money out first”
We walked to Wesley’s office and he got out the paper work.
“Now as you asked, I made sure that this contracted was worded so he worked for no one in Wolfram & Hart other then me, even if I was fired and or killed, he would still finish out his mission and get paid for it. The amount is four thousand dollars in Gold, are stander international contract fee. This contract is tamper proof, and has no loopholes what so ever. However……..” Wesley paused
“What” I said
“This kind of contract can only be made if it is signed in Blood” Wesley said
“Hahahaha, sound good to me” lobo said as he took his hook and jammed it into his finger, and took the pen off of Wesley’s desk filled it with his blood and sign real big L-O-B-O and in small print under it ‘the main man’. Wes took one of the other pens and signed his name as the Wolfram & hart employee issuing the contract, and I sign as the witness.
“Well there I’ll file this contract and your Gold will be here in 4 days from the Wolfram & Hart’s Reserves” Wesley said.
“Let me know when it’s here Wes, I know where to put it until the Job is done.” I said.
“Ok.” Wesley said
Well after that we continued what we had been doing for that past week, but me Lobo and Hellboy started to stay in the Office more, I wanted the Senior partners to start wondering who we are and what was going on. Hellboy even got asked in he was a new Devils in accounting. He said, “No just here with friends”
But I didn’t always spend my time in L.A. I did a lot of flying the world. I mean I have the powers of a green lantern I was going to enjoy them. I would just fly around from city spent half a day in New York doing the Normal Super hero thing. Saving people from burning building, stopping bank robbers, and stuff a Green lantern should do.
Another day I just spent it with Illyria Walking around on the moon because well I could, and wouldn’t you.
About 2 days after the gold arrived to the office and Wesley informed me. I fly over right away.
“Where are you going to put it, he asked”
“In the same kind of pocket that I keep the lantern to recharge the. That way we have the gold and there is not way Hamilton or the senior partners can get it back. Now Lobo is working for you.”
“Splendid” Wesley said with a note of sarcasm in his voice.
“Well I think Wednesday Illyria should be more then able to go get Gun”
“I thought you said you all would go”
“Yeah I know, but I was thinking Why tip our hand to early. Besides Illyria can more then handle it”
So Wednesday came, Wesley was talking to Illyria explaining the Problem and She did just that. She just went off and got gun just as he had in the show.
Wesley was sitting in Angel’s office talking to him about the situation, just as he what meant to. This time however I was also sitting there.
“We didn’t send her, we where discussing Gun, I explained his situation and are inability to get him out. She nodded created a portable and disappeared.”
“So she’s just helping you out she’s your guy little helper”
“Well I mean she does it because she wants to”
“Well she was really helpful beating me up” angel said
“She didn’t do as bad a s before, she just knocked you acrossed the room” I said
“Wes, do you have any idea why she is doing all this for you”
“Well I know of do” I said, “ it’s the simplest explanation really. She has Fred’s memories. Fred loved Wesley, and I guess some of that attachment is still there”
“The point is she will get him out,” Wesley said kind of pushing past what I said.
“Or she might get him killed” Angel said “ it doesn’t track why would she take on any risk for us”
“HA” I blurted out “sorry, but have you see her, this is a cake walk for her”
“She has the power of a god,” Wesley added
“She has the ego of a god,” Angel snapped
“She was ruler of the world once, that sort of thing does got to ones head.” Wesley said
“You can say that” I laughed
“We are making progress, with Lobo and Hellboy here her Powers to her only seem above par, not really Ultra-human. I think she is having trouble having to except them as peers. John as well, he is showing her thing that fear her, makes her think she isn’t as powerful as she once thought. And I have brought he some amusement at the very least, that maybe why she is still here. Well and what John just said…. never really thought of it until now. ”
“Well that aside I think she is still here because this place reeks of influence. She had everything Wes, everything!! You think she is not looking to get that back.” Angel snapped again.
“Well Wolfram & hart Hate her, and she doesn’t seem for fond of them” I jumped in “ you know the enemy of my enemy…just saying.”
“I would presume to know what she wants. But I understand the resource the power she represents, and I thin with what has happened we are on the way to convincing her to…”
“To do what!?! Join the team”
Just then Illyria returned with Gun.
“Gun” angel said as Wesley said “Illyria”
Then she picks gun up by his neck
“This thing, is what you wanted, it has value, worth beyond price.”
“Yes,” Wesley said
“This is for your help you gave me” she said looking straight at me.
“Thank you Illyria” I said, “now please put him down”
With that she dropped Gun and walked out of the room.
“GO team” Angel said
