So I spend the next few hours being pissed off and thinking, trying to think about how I can get my ass home…..then it hits me, “DARK HORSE” I yell, to the weird looks of everyone around me. I run back to find Wesley in his office, with Illyria.
“Ok so What if we get Fred Back.” I said to Wesley, who looks ready to kill me.
“Don’t you think we have tried everything,” Wesley screams, “Her soul is gone!!!”
“I know but, I don’t think you have tried everything, that is just everything in this world” I smiled and said. “ See I was thinking if this world is real then why not others, then I remembered where this world sits. It’s in the Dark Horse comic book universe, meaning that maybe the rest of the dark horse worlds are real too. Ok first for my idea to work you need to know some of the things I know like, in about two weeks from now Illyria is going to start to overload with her power in Fred’s Body, but…you have a ray that can fix her but removes her powers” I said
“What is this you speak?” Illyria yells
“You’re to powerful for your frame” I said “ see but I’m sure I’m still going to need her at full power to get myself home, so we need to fix her without removing he powers.”
“How do you plan on doing that?” Wesley said
“Well I don’t, I planed on going to people who could,” I said with a smile.
I grab a piece of drawing paper and start to draw a chart for what I know about the Dark Horse Universe. And its tie to the D.C. universe
“Hmmm let me see, Alien to sups, or here to here, or Bats to predator, hmmm I really wouldn’t want that getting into this world so I’ll just leaver the green faces here only being Loran…although, I’m sure the Mask of Loki is already part of this world anyway.”
“ What are you doing?” Wesley asked, “trying to think of where the lay lines of the two world would be? Hmmmm… Looks like it going to be in Jersey. Hmmm… I had wanted to make a stop here too, so I guess it works.” I said
“What are you going on about?” Wesley snapped. “Getting help?” I said.
“From who Spider-man or maybe the X-men” Wesley snapped again “no” I replied, ”that would mean we would have to cross three universes, I’m going to stick to the two I know for sure touch one another. The DC and the dark horse, now you can stand and laugh or you can come help me and I’m sure I know how to bring back Fred this way too, as well as leave Illyria alive and at full power. Yes I’m a comic book geek, but this is going to work”
“Ok I’ll help you“ Wesley says not sure what I have planed
“Well Wes you go tell the boss man you are going to help me try to see if we can find stuff to get me home. Illyria I’m going to need your help the most, but like I said I’m sure we can keep at your full power and make sure you don’t explode.”
“What do you wish me to do?” Illyria said
“ It’s your inter-dimensional transporting, you can just walk from one world to another. I want to use that to get us to the other Universe, what do you need to know to get there.”
“I simply need to know of the world’s existents.” Illyria said,
“Cool, you can read my chart right.”
“Yes this simple writings are easy for me to understand”
“Ok I just told angel we are heading out to help you, but not where, don’t think he would believe me anyway.” Wesley said “and I got myself a book to help intone you to the worlds you are thinking of to help Illyria get us there, wouldn’t want to step into space would you.”
“Good Plan” I said “how’s it work”
“Well just think of where you want to go in your mind and then hold Illyria’s hand and imprint that image to her she should be able to handle the rest” Wesley said
“Hey what are you planning in here” Spike walked in and said
“Well lets just call it a long shot for now, I would say come along Spike but I’m sure the sun’s there we’ll be the burning kind” I said “ok Illyria to Newark New Jersey”
I took Her hand and she opened a portal and we stepped through.
“Ok guys remember this place we’ll be back here as soon as we finish, in the other world there’s a friend here I’m thinking we can get to lend a big hand, the right one in fact, but first onward to Oa.”
“Oa?” Wesley and Illyria said
“You’ll see” I said, and then held Illyria’s hand once more and another portal was opened. And we again walked through On to the surface of the Planet.
“Where are we exactly?” Wesley asked
“I said already the Planet Oa, the home Planet of the Guardians of the Universe, and the headquarter for the Corp. I never in my life thought I was going to be able to see this place in real life but here it is. Guess it’s kind of the theme of the day for me though.
We’ll I’m sure that they picked up on Illyria’s little temporal displacement and we should be greeted here in …….Three……two…….one”
“Hey, Who are you?”
“Right on time, Hello, Katma isn’t,” I asked
“Yes” Katma said
“We need to speak to Ganthet, and the other Guardians” I said
“Who are you and how do you know me, and all of this. I’m going to take you straight to Ganthet now” Katma said
With that she placed us in a Green sphere from her ring and took us to the great hall, on the way there I reassure Illyria that this was what I wanted, and Wesley asked me, “Ok these are who I think they are Right my comic book reading isn’t really up to par. But She is one of the Green Lanterns”
“Yep” I said “now you starting to believe me”
“What are Green Lanterns?” Illyria asks
So I said in my best Porky Pig impression “ Th-th-the Green Lantern Corp is and intergalactic organization of heroes established to maintain p-p-peace and justice. Each member is issued a powerful ring to enforce and p-p-protect said justice thro-through out the galaxy..Hehe”
“I see you are aware of our organization. But I must say I have heard better Porky pigs. Now for what reason have you come to Oa.” Ganthet asked
“These little Blue Beings are the Guardians of the Universe, They seem so little” Illyria stated.
“Please Illyria, Hi my name is John. We have come here from another Dimension to ask of you a strange and unorthodox request. You see I got stuck in their would through an accident in my own. But through a long and drawn out ordeal, I maybe stuck there forever, if I can’t find a way to keep the heroes in there world from being destroyed. There world is just at the gateways of hell and I’m afraid that in there fight I know for sure this man with me will not live through it. And I need his help to get me home. Also I will need the help of others in their world as well. So I ask for your help in this Long shot of a plan to help my new found friends world and help me get home where I belong.” I state in the center of the Guardians council hall.
“What is your request?” Ganthet asked
“Well, and I know this sounds Odd but, I request a temporary instatement into the Green Lantern Corp, so that I may us the rings power to help support the ever slipping justice that is in there world and help tip the scales to my friends favor. So that I can insure that they will be here to help me find my way home.”
“That Is a very unbelievable request indeed?” Ganthet replied,
Then held for a long pause……………………………………………………

“But I can see why you would make it. So, we grant your request for a One time temporary Instatement into the Green Lantern Corp. With promise that you will live up to the code of the Corp.”
“ I promise you I will life up to the Heart of the Corp, and I won’t go like Sinestro on you or anything.”
“Well here you are then, your Ring and Lantern, and seeing how you know so much about us I’m sure you know the oath” Ganthet said.
“Oh, trust me, this is kind of part of a childhood dream for me.”
I place the ring on my hand and stood in front of the great Lantern, and said the Green Lantern Oath “In Brightest day, In Blackest night, no evil shall escape my sight, let those who worship evil's might, beware my power, Green Lantern’s light!” With that the ring charged and I Became one of the Lantern Corp. and my clothing turn into a very nice T-shirt sporting the GL logo
“Ok, so I need to make sure you have this clear, there world will need help. From demons literally from Hell, Pure evil at its source.”
“We know, DO what it is you need to John, and then Bring the ring Back here” Ganthet said
“Thank you” I said
“We’ll now what” Wesley asked
“To the Earth of this Universe, Katma could guide us to it.” I asked
“Why? When I can simply just portal us there.” Illyria said.
“I want you to not push your powers for now, Besides the trip will give me the time I need to get us to the ring” I said
“Sure thing, I’ll be glad to Go to earth with you” Katma, said
“Hmmm well you give Wes a hand and I’ll take Illyria. Ok come here Illyria and just hold on to me, I’m sure you should be able to now” as I form the green force field over us, and then Began to float above the ground. “ Wow this is really cool”
“This Power is very impressive” Illyria said
“Yep, It said that there is nothing that can stand against the Whole Green Lantern Corp.”
So off we went to the earth of the DC universe, on the way I can’t help but sing the Superman theme, “baaaa ba ba baaa baaa baaa baaa baaa”
“Umm isn’t that the wrong super hero’s theme” Wesley asked
“Yeah But I always wanted to do that, and beside where do you think we’re going.” I said
“What do you mean?” Wesley asked
“Well to the only group I know that can be able to Fix Illyria and still keep all her powers intact Is none other then The Justice League. So we are on the way to which ever watch tower is in this world.“
“Do you really think they can help” Illyria asks
“Hey, they helped ‘Caption Atom’” I said
So on we went to the earth of the DC universe; I spent most of the time getting to know how to use the Ring more properly, moving asteroids, blasting small thingys out of the way, and just getting the feel for it. But soon we had reached the edge of the Sol System of the DC universe. The Sun was becoming an ever growing beacon of light as we pass through the orbits of the Outer system. I personally had to stop as we passed Jupiter, to just marvel at its size.
“Well what do you think, everything feels smaller now seeing that up close, huh?” I said to Wesley.
“Yes” He simply said
“It doesn’t look so Big” Illyria says
“That’s because we are about three thousand miles away from it. See the big red dot there, yeah, that’s about three times bigger then the earth” I replied
“…….Oh” Illyria adds
“Well lets go have some fun in the Belt” I said
“What belt?” Illyria questioned
I pointed to the sun, and said “That one, the asteroid belt that is the border between the outer solar system and the inner one”
As we traveled we found one that was about the size of Mt. Everest, small one as compared to the rest of the belt. I decided to try to split it in half with the ring. I simply formed a beam straight from the ring and cut it in half. But I really wanted to do something more creative with the ring watching the justice league cartoon has really hurt my concept of the green lanterns true power. So I was going to see what I could really do. And form two giant swords and cut the two halves into quarters.
“Hmm well with that out of my system, let’s get heading out again” I said to the group
And finally we made it to this earth. There in the upper atmosphere was the Point of our travel, like it’s name, the watchtower was a pillar that this worlds protectors could stand and see over everything. We approached and Katma contacted the League over her ring to Jon Stewart the Earth’s current GL. We entered the watchtower from the docking bay; we walk in and up to the main control room. I realized that this was the larger tower and that means that this was exactly what I was looking for. We where greeted by Superman, Wonder woman, J'onn J'onzz, Flash, and lots of other heroes I only kind of remember who they are. However, Jon Stewart was not so warm with his greeting.
“Who the heck are you, and how did you get that ring?” Stewart snapped
“Fuzzy chap isn’t he” Wesley said
“Yeah, he is like that, ok look I could stand here and debate why and why not I should have this ring, but I’m not. The Bosses Gave me it ok, and temp. status to be one of the GL finest. We are here for something totally different.” I replied as I pointed to Illyria “ you see are friend here is Suffering from over power constrain and, from what I understood, in about Two week going to explode. Pretty much a blast that will whip out a continental shelf. We however want to stop this keeping her at full power. She is a key to saving their world and returning me to mine.”
“Huh…. What are you talking about”? Stewart said
“AHHH….. Hey J’onn buddy can you just Martian Mind scan me and explain to everyone exactly what it is I’m Asking, I’m kind of getting tired of repeating myself”
“As you wish” J’onn replied and proceeded to retrieve all the information on our current situation. And then look my straight in the eyes “ Ok everyone this being is a Demon from the Universe, her powers are vast in temporal dynamics, and Black magic. This looks like something we need to Call Fate in on. But for now Illyria would you please follow Superman and Wonder Woman to the atomic repair center.”
“Hey Wes man Umm how about you follow with her, Help keep her from feeling unnerved. Me and Man Martian here need to talk.” I said
“Please follow us,” Superman said as they walked out the door
“So you really think that this will work for you and them?” J’onn questioned
“I’m hoping it does, I want to go home…. and after finding out all of you are real and not just something I read in a comic or watched on TV, I kind of really don’t want to see the ‘story’ end the way it did. So if I can, kill Two birds with one stone as it where, the better.”
“Hmmm…. And what about your thoughts on added help from this world.” J’onn said warily
“Well…..think about it I mean, one thing, there is nothing in hell that is going to scare him. He is about the strongest thing I know of in this world. He’s un-killable, and most importantly He Always keeps his word. Plus none of you really can be away from your duets here, and this world isn’t really going to be missing him being gone for a few weeks. Hell I’m pretty sure it will last a few added weeks just because of it.”
“True. Ok, let me get a hold of the location room.” J’onn replies, “Yes, hello, I need the Location of……………. LOBO!! This will take some time lets go see about your friends”
As we walked we could see that Fate has arrived and was talking to Superman. Superman did not have a look of happiness on his face from talking to him.
“Oh I was afraid of this. Come on J’onn we’re going to have to reassure them of what I want to do, you know why we need to do this” I said
“Yes, I do.” J’onn replied
So as we walk up I can tell Supes’ is about to give me the hero lecture.
“ Fate tells me that this woman is a Powerful demon and can tell that she was a powerful evil force of that world. Why do you want use to help her?” Superman said
“Look superman, She is from a time where demons like her rule and fought with each other. A time truly before good and evil, before right and wrong where made, a time where only survival was her main goal. She truly is neither when you look at it. But her powers can be an aid to the Heroes of her world now, because the evil powers of it, want nothing to do with her simply because they can’t control her. She’s a wildcard that they don’t want. And with that she has a common goal with the heroes.”
“I’m not convinced.” Superman said
“And I’m surely not!!!!!!!” Fate added
“J’onn could you help here” I said
“Well, How many times have we given are enemies a second chance? Some have even become great allies. This is Illyria’s chance to really make a difference, and prove to be a force for good. From what I have seen in John’s mind I know this is the only way for all of them.” J’onn explained
“Well I guess then we’ll help her out” Superman said finally
“Good! Now if you excuse me, I need to talk to my friend Wes” I said then walk over to Wesley, “hey man got a Question for you, how much Gold or Jewels do you think that you can get Out of Wolfram & Hart?”
“Why do you ask?” Wesley replied
“I’m planning on hiring a little help, you know get us a little Muscle of the Super…well not really human variety”
“Hmm…well let’s see how things are going with Illyria.” Wesley said
“Ok” I replied
Fate and a few of the technicians, where working on her as she lie on a hoplite table. I walked up to J’onn and ask how things are going.
“She is fine, her powers are being combined by fate with are nuclear technicians, her body itself is also being enhance with both the magic of fate and nanotechnology, her powers will no longer hold the threat of her own self-destruction anymore” J’onn said as we watched them work.
“Hmmm…. good I know how you guys could do it. Now I just need to get a little information on the other thing I need to make my plan work.” I said
“Well I know that we have the information from S.T.A.R. Labs that they will send a disk with all the file you will need on this subjected, But trying to do this are you sure it is the wisest idea.” J’onn asked
“Not really but its going to end up being my only option.” I replied
As we walk I saw old Stewart walking up. He didn’t seem all too happy with me once again, and I was pretty sure I had a good idea why.
“How On earth could you think that Psychopath is a good idea to bring along.” Stewart yelled, “ He’s a bounty hunter, assassin, mercenary, low life space thug!!!”
“You forgot ‘Scourge of th’ cosmos’” Lobo chimed in as he walled into the room“ So, why the hell was I called here? Those green ring dorks dragged me here telling me it would be worth something.”
“Yes I called for you Lobo. You special skills are going to prove more then useful. And we will be able to pay you well for your time and word to do what we ask of you.” I said.
“Just how much we talking” Lobo asked
“Well Wes” I asked
“I’m really sure that the treasury of Wolfram & hart can give you more gold then you can carry. Although I’m not sure as to why my new friend here would feel you are qualified to be the best to help us,” Wesley stated
“That’s what I wanted to know” Stewart replied
I decided to jump in before Lobo got set off into a pissy mood.” Ok look, Lobo is the best for this Job mainly because of, Lobo is one of the toughest creeps in the universe. He can rip through solid rock, kick his way out of a steel safe, and lift a two-ton semi and use it as a club.”
“Ha, I done all that stuff, this week” Lobo added
I continued, “Lobo's weapon of choice is a big, sharp, steel hook on the end of that rusty chain. However, he's more than willing to employ any and all firearms and explosives. He has vast superhuman strength. He also possesses a few other helpful talents: the uncanny ability to sense an opponent's weakness, tracking skills that are second to none, and virtual indestructibility. And not to mention the deal this Bastich made with heaven to make him Immortal. Plus He doesn’t have the weakness to magic that a lot of the Justice league do. Superman for one, any magic wielding enemy can just hand him his ass. Plus Lobo is bigger, meaner, and scarier then anything that is in your world Wes.”
“Ha, never met a fan before” Lobo Joked.
“So As I’m sure that explains just fine to everyone what I have in mind than can we continue on without me having to explain myself every five minutes.” I snapped.
“Yes I guess it does” Wesley replied.
“Ok well Wes Buddy I think we have some time before I get the information from S.T.A.R. Labs. So you and Illyria just hang around for awhile and talk to the locals I guess.” But I was interrupted buy Superman.
“Umm could we have Illyria do a few tests for us first” Superman asked “I’m Sure you want to know what her strength level is and what all her powers can do as well.”
“Well that sounds like a great idea, kind of wanted to know that myself. Wes, why don’t you and Illyria go with Superman here, and start some of those tests. I’m going to go talk to someone I’ve wanted to meet for years” I said
“Who is that?” Wesley asked
“Oh, Just the one person who is more dark and brooding then even Angel.” I smiled as I said.
“You mean…. oh…” Wesley replied
“Yep, Batman” I said. With that I walked way from the group to again find J’onn. who was looking over the earth as always. As I walked up to say something I could feel a rush of air start to move around me, and this really weird whooshing noise. I realized who it was about 10 seconds after he was standing right in front of me. Old mister speedy himself……..”The Flash!”
“So you’re the guy that everyone says is from another world where we are just comics.” Flash said
“Yep,” I replied
“Hmmm…prove it,” flash snapped
“Sure thing Wally! How would you like me to do that” I jokingly said knowing that I had just did.
“…Ummm how did you know that was my name? I mean, never mind, so I’m really a comic book” Flash asked again
“Yep, and a cartoon, and there was a live action TV show about you too at one point. Didn’t last to long though. I mean the writing was bad because they didn’t use any of your villains just you.” I said as I remembered that bad show.
“So ok so what are you doing here man, you where on your way to J’onn I see. I’ll follow and talk”
“Sure thing, I was just heading to J’onn to get a hold of batman for me” I replied
“Why do you want to see bats? I mean the guys not to friendly to his friends, let alone with people he don’t know.” Flash said
“Yeah I know, but I need to make sure I cover my ass. With both the info I’m getting from S.T.A.R. labs and if for some reason how I planed on paying Lobo falls through. Batman can cover on both for me, I hope.”
“Well let’s see I’m pretty sure you know bats can cover the debt, you know that fact his rich and all.”
“That’s what I’m hoping Flash, if it comes to that” I replied, “It’s the other thing I need that I’m worried about.”
