NEW YORK - 1940
Dawn Summers stares at her professor while resting her head on her hand. Dr. Henry "Indiana" Jones continues to draw the sketch of a tomb in Egypt that he visitied three months ago.
JONES-
"As you can see....the tomb told us a lot about how the Egyptians not only buried their dead, but how they....." He is interrupted as a bell rings. "Okay everyone, Chapters Six through Eight, and I'll be in my office today, but not next week." The students gather their books and begin to leave. Dawn's dorm mate Janice comes up to her.
JANICE-
"So, are we going to Professor Jones's office...you know, to ask him a lot of useless questions." Janice's crush of Jones was actually borderline stalking.
DAWN-
"No...my sister is coming in from London today."
JANICE-
"Wow...that must be amazing. Working in another country."
DAWN-
"Scary is more like it. Remember, the Nazis aren't letting up. I got a letter from Buffy a month ago. She told me a German bomb exploded right inside the courtyard of the Museum she works at."
JANICE-
"I don't get it. Why is she working at a museum during a war?"
DAWN-
"Trying to protect the priceless goodies I guess. Besides, she's an American citizen."
JANICE-
"Right....oh.....Professor Jones is going into his office."
DAWN-
"Happy hunting."
Dawn walks down the hall and outside into the nice crisp air of New York City. Her dorm room was across the quad in another building. As she walks across, a big smile comes across her face when she sees a slighty shorter blond woman standing by her building.
DAWN-
"Buffy!!" She hugs her sister.
BUFFY-
"Hey, sis. How are you?"
DAWN-
"I'm good...worried about you. How is everyone?"
BUFFY-
"They're fine, I promise. Everyone's in Washington right now."
DAWN-
"What happened?"
BUFFY-
"The museum's gone. Stupid war. Look over there, do you know that person that Giles is talking to?"
DAWN-
"Yeah....that's the Dean, Dr. Marcus Brody. Oh, here they come." Giles and Brody walk over.
GILES-
"Hello, Dawn. How are you?"
DAWN-
"I'm good. Hello Dr. Brody."
BRODY-
"Hello, Ms. Summers. I had no idea that you were friends of Dr. Giles here. It's been a long time, Rupert."
GILES-
"Yes, it has been. Now, Dawn....Marcus...uh...Dr. Brody tells me that one of your professors could help us out with a small recovery."
BRODY-
"Trust me, Indy is the best in the business." The four of them head off to Indiana Jones's office.
