In the briefing room of the Sunnydale, Giles is explaining the game plan.
GILES-
"We're going home."
BUFFY-
"What?"
GILES-
"Admiral Travers has ordered us back to Earth. The starships Enterprise, Yorktown, Defiant, and Serenity are on their way."
BUFFY-
"Damn it, we can't leave Dawn and Willow behind."
WESLEY-
"That's enough, Commander."
GILES-
"Wesley, it's okay....Buffy I understand, but the Sunnydale wouldn't stand a chance against a Borg Cube. Besides....it doesn't have to be said about what is happening to them."
ANYA-
"They're being assimilated. Having their body parts replaced by mechanical devices. And..."
XANDER-
"Anya....please."
ANYA-
"I'm just saying."
The gang leaves the briefing room, Buffy catches up with Tara.
BUFFY-
"Tara...we can't let them go."
TARA-
"I know, but what can we do?"
BUFFY-
"Meet me in the shuttle bay at midnight tonight. We're going after them."
Wesley looked at the digital clock hanging above the main viewscreen on the bridge. It read 23:58. He looked at the duty roster for that night, Faith was schedule to take the bridge at midnight. Faith and Buffy takes turns commanding the ship between Midnight and 0800.
TACTICAL OFFICER-
"Commander, the shuttle bay door is opening."
WESLEY-
"What? Who is it?"
T.O.-
"According to the shuttlebay flight recorder.....It's Commander Summers and Lieutenant Maclay."
WESLEY-
"Damn....(He hits his comm badge) Captain Giles to the bridge please."
The Shuttlecraft 'Dingoe' launches from the shuttlebay and jumps to warp, following the Borg Cube.
